“Woman Can Lie” goes to the Big Apple

woman can lie

Woman Can Lie is a sequel to Man Does Lie. It exposes questionable dealings of selected females, in the case of the play, a character named BETH, who choose to deceive men and cheat her way around several relationships. The play examines the crimes of infidelity carried out in covert, but painful ways by women to unsuspecting men, a character named RUDY in that case. The play places attention on one of the ills of society perpetuated by women of a special ilk; it is expected to be an eye opener.

The lead role, a character named BETH, a female in her 30’s, is played by Kareen Joseph. The exciting student actress, 17 year old Kimarah Laurent plays RHONDA, a young lady in her 20’s who is BETH’s distant relative. FEFE, 40’s (Beth’s best friend) is played by Nyamekye Daniel.

Nyam is an original member of Téyat Pawol. Chelsey McInnis, a teen acting sensation plays OCTAVIA, a self righteous woman in her 30’s. The veteran Emile Serrant plays PASTOR MOORE, a ‘Pastor’ in his 50’s. Serrant is a well known Caribbean Community organizer, based in Florida, and is an absolutely larger-than-life personality.

The award winning, versatile Mickael Ferrol plays BETH’s trusted and blind boyfriend RUDY. Ferrol, Dominica’s best actor over the past decade was recently granted the island’s Meritorious Service Award. Michael ‘Pecker’ Leblanc plays JULIUS, and Alex Bruno is the group’s Writer/Artistic Director.

Téyat Pawòl, which began in Florida U.S.A., performed its first play ‘As You Were’ in Hollywood, Fl. on May 25, 2001.

So far the group has produced a total of fifteen (15) original plays, including ‘Woman Can Lie’ which is carded for December 14 @ 8:00PM, at TILDEN HIGH SCHOOL AUDITORIUM on 5800 Tilden Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11203 – (Between Kings Highway and Ralph Avenue) in New York.

Two different days and location would be better.
Bronx would have been a better location since there have more out going Dominicans in the Tri -state area.

    Hi folks,

Greetings and thanks for you interest in our work.

The play is on. There is nothing in the foretasted weather that warrants any cancellation, in fact ticket sales have picked and we shall in deed be staging the play “live” on Saturday December 14 from 8:00 pm.

It’s just another evening with a little bit of snow in Brooklyn, nothing unusual. The only difference is that you will be kept warm with lots of laughter. lol.

The play, Woman Can Lie, will begin on time at 8:00, and patron should be out of the facility before 11:00 pm. So, please come out and share the theatre experience.
