I have been watching all of those pictures, videos, and reading a few comments, sitting on my sofa at North York in Ontario, Canada. Thanks to God for the Internet, and thank you to all of you who are making it possible for those of us who are away from our beautiful country to be able to receive some information.

Those of you who are at home, in Dominica, keep in mind that you are already living in Paradise, you do not anything else. I just learned from a man from Texas that our Dominica is the richest of water and forestry on the whole planet. He calles Dominica the last Paradise, and I agree with him.

Young people, know that God will provide for your upbringing and everything else that you will need in Life. Appreciate the beauty and talent that you have right now, and be patient to wait for the best to come. In other words, stay where you are, there is no better Life out there.

This is the first time I have seen something of Carnival in Dominica for the past 35 years, and what I saw was great. Congratulations to all the winners. Those of you who did not win, remember that there can only be one winner in every category; but you all played very well.

Ebey wey, I always thought the name was Neg Mawon and Lapo Kabwit as well, you are not alone.

Well God bless you all at home. And my message to the young people is for the young people of my family in Giraudel as well. I am talking especially to my nieces and nephews Jeanna, Glen, Sherban, Jermelle, and karline, my brother, Sylvester’s daughter. Be good over there.

We must also ask who designed the best costume for the queen show.

this is a concern to me as a carnival lover. when things are conflict of interest we should talk about it. Someone should ask who designed and built the winning king and queen of the band costumes? HUMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. CONFLICT OF INTEREST. Carnival Development Committee and DFC you need to take note. These things are descouraging persons……

Mercury Band was great, I really thought they had 1st place in the bag.
This is exactly why alot of people are holding back on getting involved.
    UNFAIRNESS all around.
The JUDGES SHOULD ALL GO IN THE GARBAGE BIN.
beginning with the calypso show judges.
    Come on people, be fair.
Mercury costumes were well made, beautiful and such an attractive band……….

AFTER thrilling patrons at last year WORLD CREOLE MUSIC FESTIVAL

AFTER PUTTING ON AN EXTRAORDINARY MIND BOGGLING PERFORMANCE AT THE BOUYON FESTIVAL- reproving again hat theyre STILL number one !

AFTER having absolutely successful local, regional and international tours hence restablishing the band and the music to legends of fans.

AFTER creating the last musical genre in the world( BOUYON MUSIC ) in the 20th Century.

AFTER CAPPING COUNTLESS LOCAL REGIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL AWARDS.

AFTER going through all kinds of storms & hurricanes and remaining true to the saying ” WCK CANA DIE ”

AFTER MAINTAINING THEIR REPUTATION AS THE UNDISPUTED : ” kings of the road and rhythm machine ”

WCK AFTER being one of the only band in the region TO HAVE SOLD MORE ALBUMS than their resident population through the ORIGINAL HOLD DEM Album

WCK was still able to put together a SICK ” HOLD DEM “album through the efforts of band member NAYEE JNBAPTISTE ( THE BEST FRONT MAN AND BOUYON LYRICIST IN THE WORLD ),skinny banton, MR littleman ( unwell fingers ), Monelle, keith Goddard etc

AFTER all of this the fans responded ah mass for carnival and the WCK PULLED WELL OVER( two thousand two hundred )2200 IN THEIR T- SHIRT BAND ; A RECORD FOR DOMINICA ( people in real terms this would be equivalent to 44,000 T – shirt revellers in Trinidad & Tobago). I do believe that their efforts should be rewarded by the organisers !

WCK CONTINUES TO SET THE STANDARDS………FOLLOW THE LEADER !

WCK THE NUMBERS WHICH FOLLOWED YOU SPEAK VOLUMES OF YOUR GREATNESS.

    HOLD DEM

I heard from the grapevine that WCK HAS ANOTHER SONG WHICH MIGHT WELL OUT DO BALANCE BATTY AND THE IMMORTAL CONCH SHELL ….. I CANNOT WAIT FOR THAT NEXT ALBUM TO BE RELEASED WHEN WE SOLD OUT THIS CURRENT HOT ONE .

ongratulations to all the winners! Especially to the Religious One from Fond Cole with their Tribute to Michael Jackson!. That was a very creative idea. Infact every year they come up with something different and entertaining. Remember the Pappy show wedding last year, the Chinese crew, the religious Nuns and Priests on the run in previous years? Big up to you all. expecting to see something just as creative next year! Congratulations again!

Carnival Corner – Band of the Year???????? Hell No!….what is the criteria for judging the costume bands because the best looking band was MERCURY! They have been pressing this group from since they came out…The organizers of the Mercury Band – continue doing a great job in bringing about colour and revelry to the costume parade.
