RIP teacher Zackie
My dearest , favorite and most of all my family , if you were blessed enough to be taught by Teacher Zackie , your one of the most luckiest ones. He loved the arts and one of my first plays on stage was produced by him , I still remember my part ” Methuzala Methuzula , where art thou ” the play was held at the hall at Mantepo across from the sea , so many fond memories we had and besides I was too young to be in his class but my father insisted and teacher Zackie accepted me , those were the good days . Last I saw him was 2016 , that smile as bright as the sunshine and those hugs letting me know not to worry he would be ok. Rest In Peace , you will be remembered always, there is no one like you .till we meet again , Mags
Rest in peace Zachy. Condolences to your family and friends.
Education, Sports and Culture will always remain the pillars which Zackie held on to. A committed Community man , very Sociable and gave of his all. May Zackie aka Aya Rest in Eternal Peace.
Mr Pollock rest in peace your gentleness can not be challenge by the living or the dead. Your contageous smile worth a million. Although you never taught in the south of the island but the couple exchanges we had well over 20 years ago meant a lot. Rest in peace, heaven is your reward. I have been asking about Mr Zack Pollock but was not successful in finding you. We shall meet in heaven brother. Yes we shall. The classroom still yearns for teachers like you.
RIEP my bro! Condolences to all those affected.
Total Dedication to the Teaching Profession…
An example of Professionalism
Teacher Zackie was one of the most patient, loving, and gentle teachers I had in primary school. He epitomized the saying “the influence of a good teacher can never be erased.” Many years have passed since I sat in his Standard 4 class at Bense Government School, but I still remember the day he became my teacher and the comforting environment he created in the classroom. He instilled in his pupils a love for singing. Some of those songs are still in my memory, viz: Jesus Come today for poor man like me, Listen to the Cheerful Cry, hola hi, hola ho, and Cherry Ripe, ripe I cry. He was also a great story teller and his version of Alice in Wonderland remains my favorite to this day. My deepest condolences to his sons Georgie and Eddie and his other relatives and friends. RIP Sir!
