DNO ..I am deeply disappointed in how u translated the life of a well respected man as a politician who lost…..he was first a citizen of dominica and second a man of God…he served his country as a deputy firefighter for yrs and still had time for his community people and commitment to the church where he worshipped….his was a legend in his own right and he deserves a better introduction than that….Mr leo u will greatly be missed by me and on behalf of the Coipel family of petite soufriere I wish to extend my sincere condolences to the Newton Family!! You all will always be in my prayers and ure angel is now watching over you!!! Will miss him dearly!!! Rest in eternel peace!!!

The last paragraph says “who contested the elections and lost” but the line should have read, “who lost through political interference, because we know that Leo had won Loreen big time, but would have been a disgrace if those DLP vandals did not come to Castle Bruce to make her win by ONE.
Remember the night before LEO had won by 26 votes. But God is such a good God, he never kept Loreen on his heart. He will be used by God to help at his mansion.

You were the one when things went wrong, Leo, we would talk. We were there for each other. You would think is Fred I was talking to. I remain the lone ranger here, to be there for everyone. You will be missed. Farewell my brother, I know the Father has already placed you in his divine hands.
To my darling sister, Eve, you are not an in-law but a newton at heart. You would have thought Mammy Stedman was your mother.
You know the relationship with us, and by the Grace of God we will remain the sisters forever.

To be fair in your news reporting, woulden’t it be better to just give the man his last respect as a citizen frist and if needed his political affiliation after?Iknow you don’t want too much heat from the big stick, but sensitive situation like this needs more respect less politics. So everyone can give their respect without thecoloursphere.

Please recognize the fact that this man has served as a firefighter for so many years. He is not just a former UWP candidate who lost. I am a firefighter and it says a lot when that aspect of his life is left out.

Come on DNO when a public person dies you suppose to say how old they are.

Admin: as the report mentioned info on the whole situation is sketchy at this time and we are seeking more info.. You should be thankful that at least we are informing the public of the passing away of this gentleman.
