Another LIME Lifetime Moment – A visually impaired man and single mother of five benefit

Warner Alfred (left) receives his surprise

A single mother of five children and a visually impaired man from the community of Marigot are in a better place today after being surprised by LIME on Saturday with grocery hampers valued at over two hundred and fifty ($250.00) each.

LIME is keeping  its promise to touch the lives of Dominicans this Christmas season as they go about their daily routines in simple, but unexpected ways.
During a Sales activity targeting the Marigot community on Saturday, LIME seized the opportunity to make hamper presentations of food supplies to persons who the Marigot Village Council recommended as worthy recipients.

The first stop was at Rosehill at the dwelling house of Warner Alfred, a visually impaired man who became blind about twelve years ago.  Mr. Alfred lives alone and has to fend for himself on a daily basis. He extended heartfelt gratitude to LIME for bringing him the food hamper which referred to as ‘a well needed early Christmas present.’

Joseph and the LIME crew

The next stop took the LIME crew up a difficult, winding road to the top of an area in Marigot called Coffee where the team would encounter Royette Joseph and her family of five children and two sisters.  The single mother who struggles on a daily basis to feed her family was overjoyed to see the LIME team and the good tidings they brought. “I am very happy for these grocery items” she said. Acknowledging that it couldn’t have come at a better time, Ms. Joseph said it will go a long way in helping feed her family over the next couple of weeks.

General Manager of LIME Dominica Jeffrey Baptiste said in this season of giving and sharing, LIME is impacting the lives of many persons through the LIME Lifetime Moments. “Last week we paid the full bus fare for a bus load of persons travelling to the Carib Territory and on Saturday we ensured that meals are guaranteed for a mother, her family and a blind man for at least a month with our presentation of grocery supplies”. Mr. Baptiste added that this is a clear indication that our commitment to create a better life for the people in the communities we serve is deeply rooted, and will extend far into the future.

LIME’s ‘Christmas of a Lifetime’ promotion promises six customers a Lifetime of Services from the company including mobile, fixed line or Broadband services. An additional 13 other customers will win a year of services. To qualify, customers need to simply topup $10 or more, sign up for any LIME postpaid service, purchase a mobile phone, or pay their LIME bill in full and on time.

The more that our corporate community can help the less fortunate amongst us makes us a better and more caring society. I have no issue with Lime being in the media for doing that, it is also business to show that your company is also interested inthe well being of the citizens. Go LIme one family is happy keep it up Mr Baptiste and crew

Line recent acts of kindness is quite moving and I know that that blind man from Marigot and that Paix Bouche lady living at Coffee in Marigot are indeed needy. The man has been searching for assistance to have alittle house and to no avail. The young is struggling. God Bless you all at lime.
