Kevin C Henderson, of Bagatelle, is now a happier and richer man after winning $230,000 from the Dominica Lotteries Commission.
The 37 year old employee of the Dominica Air and Sea Port Authority who has been in the first super six winners since 2010, achieved his dream through perseverance and a lucky quick pick number.
‘I feel very happy it’s a while since I’ve been playing and I have always felt that one day I would win but I didn’t really think that would come true, now that it has I feel very, very happy’. an elated Henderson told the media moments after being handed his cheque.
Henderson also urged lotto players to continue playing the games at the Dominica Lotteries Commission.
Meantime Dominica Lotteries Commission official, Ken George, has appealed to members of the public to claim their prizes after playing.
‘I am making an appeal to the public that for the past three years there has been over $500,000 worth of unclaimed prizes so we urge you when you play the games look at the numbers and claim your prizes’.
He said since the inception of the game Dominica has won the largest jackpot of over $630,000.
The super six game assists in twenty-20 tournaments, inter-school tournament, and plans are underway to revive the Windward Islands football tournament being sponsored by the super six territories.
