Dominica to host 14th OECS Bar Association Regional Law Conference

Roberts said the conference will be held in Dominica

President of the Dominica Bar Association (DBA) Mary A Roberts has announced that the 14th OECS Bar Association’s Regional Law Conference will take place in Dominica this year.

She made the announcement during a scholarship ceremony held at the Prevo Cinemall on Tuesday.

“At this time the Dominica Bar Association will like to take this opportunity to inform the public of the 14th OECS Law Conference to be held here, in the Commonwealth of Dominica from September 15th to the 17th, 2017 at the Dominica State House conference,” she announced.

According to Roberts, the DBA looks forward to welcoming a number of delegates, judges, attorneys-at law to the conference.

The OECS Bar Association’s Regional Law Conference is an annual event designed to bring together members from various bar associations throughout the Caribbean and beyond.

It is also intended to provide an opportunity for continuing legal education to members of the legal profession, judiciary, and the public.

It provides attendees with the opportunity to hear from law professors, legal luminaries and members other judiciary about legal development in the jurisdiction. It also provides an opportunity to network with members of the legal profession and to create strategic alliances.
