A nine-year-old Dominican beauty is taking part in the Gap online casting call and needs all our votes to be the winner.
Her name is Brittney Stephen, daughter of Brett and Josian Stephen.
Brittney currently resides in Florida where she is an honor roll student who loves music, reading, dancing, cooking, doing science experiments and playing with her little sister. She plays two musical instruments, the piano and the flute; she’s an active member of two clubs at her school and is also a girl scout.
Brittney would really love to get the support of all Dominicans and friends to vote for her in the online casting call.

People need to stick to the point of the matters at hand, that’s a major issue at our Queen Pageants, none of the Young Ladies ever answer the questions being asked to them, even when the responses are fluent, thereby uttering the ridiculous responses they give and this goes way back. They get best dressed but when the mouth is open one has to RUN.
DNO, this is a special Plea to have Special Audience for “Stick to the Topic” and have a host like Steven Dangleben who would demand that they stick to the topic or they will not be able to make a contribution. Another important thing, it’s not everything one hears they should respond to. Bishop sent some bate and it was eaten so fast, that seemed like a trap and all the others fell for ignorance, hatred, jealousy and the list of negativity went on, had you not answered Bishop everything would have flowed nicely.

I am a Registry Worker and know quite a bit of obtaining citizenship through ones Parent being a native of the Soil. Almost every Dominica relative have gone through this over the years, we deal with those issues daily; no one has to be educated on this as this is not the subject matter. As a matter of fact, I do not see how this fits in with the discussion here. REFOCUS, this child needs Votes to earn her parents and herself US$1,000.00 and to be on Gap’s Windows for an entire Year, which is equivalent to 365 days of the year, same as the number of Rivers here in Dominica, Why are we evading the subject. has it every occurred to you all tht a child can claim citizenship to a country by means of his/her parentage? I guess you all have not researched tht well. the child is of Dominican parentage and actively participates in our culture therefore she is just as Dominican as any of us born in Dominica. It matters not where the cow is milked but it’s the taste of the milk that counts! I will cast my vote and it will go to her, like it or not! This is indeed a beautiful little girl; however it is distasteful that the parent in on justifying the child being Dominican, eating the foods, speaking Creole, visiting, etc. This is very unnecessary. What the focus should be on is ensuring that this child gets the publicity and votes you are asking Dominicans for, your responses are dampening the cause. You as a Dominica should know what our audience is like as you were once a queen contestant who was subject to the venom of the vicious crowds. Posting on social networks opens you up to criticism, both positive and negative, please be mindful of that, and we will all agree, and need to teach our kids from early that everyone will not like us/them so lets be open minded about this. This is by no means an electoral seat this is a mother asking for votes for her daughter so be humble about it. By posting your request on DNO you obviously opened up yourself and child to this as we live in full democracy in this Beautiful Country Dominica, Land of rich culture and heritage.
