Henley and Partners ranks Dominica’s CBI fifth in Caribbean

Henley & Partners, a leading global residence and citizenship planning firm, has ranked Dominica’s Citizenship By Investment Program fifth in the Caribbean.

The company recently released its Quality of Nationality Index for 2017 which ranks the quality of nationalities worldwide based on both internal and external factors.

Antigua and Barbuda’s program ranked number one, followed by St. Kitts in second place.

St. Lucia ranked third, Grenada ranked fourth and Dominica occupied the fifth place position.

The report stated that the programs in Dominic and Grenada continue to show a slight improvement in value in 2017.

“Thus, the nationality of Dominica scored 38.5% on the 2017 General Ranking, 0.3% more than in the previous year, and the Grenadian nationality scored 39.4%, 0.5% more than in the previous year,” it said.

Henley & Partners has said its Quality of Nationality Index is a comprehensive ranking system that measures nationalities by a set of clear and transparent criteria. The firm said it ensures a high level of reliability by using a wide variety of strictly quantifiable data to gauge the opportunities and limitations that nationalities impose on citizens.

However, reports by the firm have not always been welcomed.

In 2016 Founder and President of Apex Capital Partner (a Dominica CBI agent), Nuri Katz, trashed a report by Henley & Partners which ranked Dominica CBI as last in the world.

Katz, who was recently named Dominica’s resident ambassador to Russia, said the firm was simply promoting its products since it was agents of countries like Antigua which continues to get high rankings.

Nouri Katz should talk! His company, Apex Capital partners also promotes the CBI schemes in Antigua, St. Kitts. Grenada and St. Lucia. And ask him about the Ocean Grove development in St. Kitts, initiated by his company. Smart fellow. He has all bases covered and runs rings around Roosevelt Skerrit, who has only one egg in one basket, whereas Katz has many eggs of different hues in many baskets.

The Economic Citizenship program can be an effective legal economic tool combined with others such as genuine investments in agriculture that can be used to develop Dominica.
However, as long as this DLP government continues to malmanage our scarce resources, we will never really see the true benefits of these economic activities. In that regard, whether Dominica is first or last on the list is of little significance to the country inasmuch as it may be to the bank accounts of the few selected government appointed agents and government officials who benefit from the program. Only with a United Workers Party government in office can the resources of state be put to optimal use for the benefit of the country.
Therefore, Dominicans need to vote this DLP government out of office the soonest and vote in the UWP to bring development to the country. The UWP- Team Dominica is ready and willing to serve you.

I always hear blue blue God loves you. Dominicans have a false sense of religion; they say God put skerrit there and that God will remove him whenever. Even God in all his Sovereign Power had to battle satan to get him out of heaven. So imagine how much work we have to do. on another note Dominica sold more CBI passports before all the mentioned islands except St. Kitts, imagine now we in the bottom of the barrel.

Who cares about our passport ranking? Two things for sure the world knows about Dominica passport: 1. I Dominica passport is for persons intending to become criminals or 2. Dominica passport is for criminals that have already committed a crime be and want to run away by using a deceptive Dominica passport. Decent people don’t want our passport. U remember when Shiv Chanderpaul scored the first test hundred at Windsor park and Skerrit offered him a passport? He didn’t take it because he had had not committed a crime and was not planning on committing a crime. So thanks to Roosevelt Skerrit, Dominica diplomatic Passport is for criminals to hide from police

Everything will be fine just as long as no Taliban in Afghanistan are found to be holding Dominica passports or any international terrorists based in the middle east.

I know that these red baboons out there will see CBI ranking in 5th place as A+ on their report card, yet we are so broke and are lost for words when it comes to accountability. The fact is we could have been ranked first but as long as the money keeps taking a side step into dark corners we will remain last. At the end of the day accountability is the winner; to hell with the power rankings

  18. My little take
    April 30, 2018

How could St. Kitts and Nevis rank second, above Dominica and the former Prime Minister now opposition leader of St Kitts and Nevis had to get a lower ranked passport of Dominica to travel? If that’s the case there is only one reasonable conclusion one must come to and that is, there must be countries he cannot go to with his st. Kitts and Nevis passport less he finds himself in trouble so using a Dominica passport will help him disguise himself. If that’s the case with him should us be very concerned about the number of criminals that are using our passport and nationality to cover their crime?

Arent Henley & Partners involved in our passport sales also? I could always be wrong but if so it is a conflict of interest.
