Attorney-at-law Steven Isidore is threatening legal action against talk show host Lennox Linton for statements he reportedly made on his weekly ‘Between You and Me’ radio station.
According to a statement issued by Isidore on Monday, “It has been brought to my attention that yesterday on the Lennox Linton show, Between You and Me on Q95 Radio, that Mr. Lennox Linton has said or read from an alleged email purportedly written by me on September 14th, 2004 to one Rene Arciga”.
He said the alleged email read by Linton suggests that, “I offered or sought to offer and sell a diplomatic passport to the said Rene Arciga for the sum of US$2-million. This is simply outrageous, downright mischievous and false”.
Isidore states categorically that he have no recollection of any Rene Arciga. “I never had any authority to sell or purported to sell any diplomatic passport on behalf of the Government of Dominica as alleged or at all; offered any person including the alleged Rene Arciga, any diplomatic passport whether by sale or otherwise as alleged or at all; wrote whether by email or otherwise to any Rene Arciga offering any diplomatic passport as alleged or at all; suggested the sum of US$2-million for the attainment of a diplomatic passport as alleged or at all or applied for and none of my clients have ever been the recipient diplomatic of passports or status,” the statement said.
He said in his view, “This is another chapter in the ongoing vicious and calculated campaign against me in view of the ongoing saga with GON Emmanuel and because I having previously acted as a solicitor on behalf of the Honourable Prime Minister.”
Isidore said he is requesting copies of the audio transcripts from Q95. “If indeed the audio transcripts show that Mr. Lennox Linton said or read the alleged email as I have been informed, I will without hesitation institute legal proceedings immediately,” the statement said.
I see he requested the transcripts. But he could have easily done so without threatening a lawsuit. He has to make sure that lennox didn’t say, in any part of his rhetoric, that this is an ‘alleged’ email from party to party or he has no case at all

Wow hear this guy vent. The regarding Hartley Henry is not about Hartleys illegibility or legibility to work with the DLP as a campaign strategist or advisor. What is not clear is – Is his continuous involvement in the government affairs fair to the people of Dominica. Why is Hartley traveling with the PM to distant countries on government official business-we have a right to know that. The DLP affairs must be separated from government affairs. If Lennox is involving himself in the government affairs of St Kitts or St Lucia then it is the right of the people to demand a stop however if Lennox’s involvement is just political campaign related then I have no problem with that either.
Now go ask you PM why when he goes on State business Hartley Henry is there and why not other government officials. Why is Hartley Henry responding to issues that is strictly related to the GOVERNMENT AND ITS RESPONSIBILITY TO THE PEOPLE- NOT LABOR PARTY AND THE PEOPLE.

From a lay man I’d say as long as the emails can be proven authentic. Take Enron for example, Martha Stewart, emails were used to prosecute the Enron crooks and even Martha stewart. An email is never deleted – just so you know. A lawyer can subpoena documents to prove the authenticity of the emails. Note that it would be a bit dangerous to foolish to pursue an invasion of privacy case as Isidore may be walking along the the line of admittance of guilt. Just my take and I stand corrected.

Lennox has championed the cause to inform the people of bad governance, corrupt practices, nepotism, at great sacrifice. Any attempts to muzzle his or other patriots voices will fail. Because of the benefits to be derived. A Dominican passport under the economic citizenship program and a Dominican Diplomatic passport are distinctly different. I HAVE BEEN ASSOCIATED TO MR. LENNOX LINTON FOR PRACTICALLY ALL OF MY YOUNG ADULT LIFE AND IF HE IS WRONG, THAT WOULD BE A FIRST. AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED,LIKE ALL THOSE OTHER SUES, THIS ONE IS GOING NO WHERE, REMEMBER SKERRIT V MATT.THEM LAWERS AND POLITICANS HAVE A HABIT TO THREATEN PEOPLE WHEN THEY ARE CORNERED, IN AN EFFORT TO STOP YOU FROM TALKING. Everytime one listens to Q95, its always a hearsay and gossip.Its always about tarnishing the reputation of persons who are supporters of the government or in some ways are connected to the Dominica Labour Part. Lennox and others like him need to be taught a lesson.

Without drama, rumours, and sensationalized broadcasting, Q95 is crippled. We must remember that some of the big wigs in broadcasting at Q were also the same ones who had converted Kairi into a rumour mill. So, we should not be surprised at the quality of broadcasting at Q, where anything goes.
Of course, maybe one day when there is legislation to ensure quality in broadcasting, a certain MWAD member will speak out again. In the meanwhile, MWAD and all those who claim to champion democracy cheer on the garbage that is spewed out at Q. Then, they speak of “truth to power!” Lol!

The answer is “ I have no recollection”- It is approaching 8 years and I can understand amnesia. I am sure or I would like to think that Mr Linton would have been very prudent before reading that email. I heard the Lennox revelation and in all honesty the reasonable person would assume that the Steven M Isidore would be the same Steven Isidore of seco and Skerrit. I say so because Lennox read an email by Steven M. Isidore attorney at law. If Mr Isidore is now claiming that Lennox directly referred to him. He must be prepared to prove that and that could be like opening up a can of worms.
The threat goes on – let us not forget that Skerrit promised us that an investigation was on the way into the hacking of the PM’s email. Where is that investigation. Dogs bark within the confines of their territory. If Mr Isidore really wants to pursue that matter he should get ready to have some more of his emails exposed, the follow ups and other embarrassing emails to him and others. We may just find out whether or not Mr Rene Arciga is or is not in possession of a diplomatic passport. If he does that too is very easy to verify.
Call it foul or invasion of privacy but everyday yours and my privacy is being invaded- ask the people on the 6 floor of the financial center.
