The Lions Movement has welcomed six new members into its fold, bringing the membership of the club to 30. The new members were added on Thursday, October 21.
Lion Evans John inducted Fabrina Thomas, Kandra Aisles, Kareem Guiste, Kasia John, Kernita Aisles and Russell Wilson into the Dominica Lions Club at a short ceremony at Canefield.
By candlelight, the new members were encouraged to use the flame as a symbol and means of letting the light of Lionism shine through the service that they were called upon to perform.
Guest Speaker, Mr. Claude Paul – a St. Lucian native who is currently serving as the Director of Reform at the Customs and Excise Division, encouraged the new Lions and general membership of the club to work as a team and use the strengths, which can be found in each member, to move the club forward as they take on the roles of leadership in the club and by extension their communities.
Paul also expressed particular welcome to the two lone males in the midst as he felt that it is not often that young men volunteer their time and effort toward providing service to their communities as they would most often be found taking a back seat or just not interested.
Congrats to you all
Go Fabs………………..Keep doing your thing!

Roar Lions Roar Lions Bite Bite,
Congrats to you all and welcome to the Lionistic family although most of you been in the family for sometime now.
As you collectively strive to serve the community, remember always that we do it better together.
When it comes to meeting challenges, our response is simple: “We serve”. It’s something that unites Lions around the world. And it’s unconditional. Lions aren’t limited by continents or restricted to certain causes. We help wherever, whenever and however we can.
It’s not about keeping score. It’s about making sure that every effort counts
I could go on and on like some of you would know, I get excited talking about Lionism, and I am elated to see that most of you emerged from the Leo Club of Dominica.
