Two fishermen from the community of Marigot who were reported missing at sea have been rescued.
According to reports from Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), Acting Inspector Pellam Jno Baptiste, Damalie James and Shanel Joseph experienced engine trouble and went adrift at sea on Saturday, May, 7th 2016 about 4 miles outside of Marigot and were rescued by local fishermen about 6:45 am on Sunday, May 8th, 2016.
He said the plight of the fishermen was reported to the Marigot Police Station about 10:30 PM on Saturday.
“The fishermen are reported to be in good health and are united with their respective families,” he stated.

But where the news nuh. 4 miles off Marigot? when that happens we just swim back to shore. BUt glad they alright.
What is wrong with this people they goes out to sea with no radio no life tackets most of all no compass just 4 miles out and they get lost them folks must be workers supporters ! Just asking not being rude.
How does something of this nature become political? People have aright to support who they want why do we behave like they are not Dominicans in Marigot

What aren’t they traveling with Radios and or cell phones? They can use boosted antennas on the boats to radio for help. Or in the least have flares… they are cheap
