Nature Isle Toastmasters Club inducts two new members

The Nature Isle Toastmasters Club (NITC) has strengthened its membership by the induction of two new members – Chad LaRonde and Shayne Gibbons.

TM Chad LaRonde was inducted on November 17, 2016 while TM Shayne Gibbons on December 15, 2016.

Vice President Membership of the NITC TM Jarsmine Vidal reminded them that they will benefit from a proven program of self-development while their mentors and members present vowed to support them during their Toastmasters journey.

Highlights of the meeting on November 17, 2016:
1. Induction of TM Chad LaRonde
2. Presentation of awards to the winners of the area contest – TM Diana Gittens CC, CL, ALB and TM Dorothy Jno.Baptiste CC, CL, ALB

Highlights of the meeting on December 15, 2016:

1. Induction of TM Shayne Gibbons 
2. Presentation of certificates to the Triple Crown Awardees – TM David Thornhill CC, CL, ALB, TM Diana Gittens CC, CL, ALB and TM Larry Bardouille CC, CL, ALB. The certificates were received on their behalf at the last district conference in Curacao earlier this year by the president of the NITC, TM Valda Sweeney.

**The Triple Crown Award serves as recognition for members who have completed three educational awards in a toastmaster year. The Competent Communication award (CC), Competent Leader award (CL) and the Advanced Leader Bronze (ALB) were the three awards received by these three members.

The next meeting of the Nature Isle Toastmasters Club will be on December 29, 2016 under the theme “Gratitude”.

Toastmasters International is a world leader in communication and leadership development. It provides a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which members have the opportunity to develop effective communication and leadership skills through the completion of a series of organized self-paced basic and advanced projects which allow them to obtain increased self-confidence and personal growth.

    Personally, in addition to all of the talk and lectures and conferences, I wish those persons with all those accolades and titles, CC, CL, ALB, would go out to the ghettos and blocks all around their communities and try to reach out to the many individuals who have fallen through the cracks and reach out to them in whatever way possible. Or else…. we will have a country we will not feel so good about
