New foundation formed in Dominica

A food hamper was donated to CHANCES

Hope Foundation Inc is a newly formed, Non – Profit Organisation specifically formed for the less fortunate children of Dominica.

Our aim is to help children whose parents cannot afford or have difficulty making ends meet. The Directors of the group are Beyanca Toussaint, Mara Lewis and Tama Emanuel.

During the Christmas season (Friday December 23rd, 2016) we brought the Christmas Spirit to the ‘CHANCES’ home located in Jimmit. We donated a food hamper for the children and gave the workers a small token for their hard work in looking after the children.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors throughout the year: Regional Contractors Inc, Offshore Civil and Marine Inc, The Sign Man Ltd, Fast Cash, Digicel, Clifftop Cleaning & Maintenance and Beacon Insurance.

This comment opens an issue not enough people have thought of.

It would be a wonderful to see people donating home grown fresh produce to Hope Foundation from their back yard gardening or their farms. People can also donate money and let the Foundation decide how it is used.

Factory made canned processed foods and other boxed or wrapped food products that are often high in added sodium, salt, and sugar, etc. find their way into the gift hampers. I hate to criticize because the donors mean well. These foods are better than nothing and without them some people may go in need. But fresh local produce is a healthy donation.

Congratulations to Hope Foundation Inc. and their workers along with the good people who contribute to this very worthy cause. Besides meeting needs you are giving Dominica a reputation of being a loving and caring people.

    God bless you :!:

    Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill

Excellent generosity especially assisting the children.
A Happy New Year to all of you! God bless you!

  8. May God bless your endeavor to its richness to the full; even more so, if you acknowledge He wants to be the “Primary Charge” and to allow Him to do His work through you.

So who is the HOPE foundation? We must strive to make an effort to stop feeding children the chubby and quenchie poison. When we give fund to charity we must attempt to get the farmers involved so the money can pay them to supply the places who receive charity. We can also encourage backyard gardening and get the residents involved in planting. It defeats the purpose when we collect funds to feed children or anybody slow poison, just saying.
