Orientation session on for senior staff of selected ministries

The Ministry of Agriculture & Forestry will host an orientation session for Permanent Secretaries and senior staff of selected ministries whose decisions and actions may impact agriculture directly. These include: Ministries of Health, Environment, Tourism, Legal Affairs, Housing, Lands, Telecommunications, Public Utilities, Energy, Ports, Trade, Industry, Consumer and Diaspora Affairs.

The session will provide valuable information in respect of Border Control and Sanitary and Phytosanitary Requirements of Dominica. Senior technical staff within the Veterinary and Plant Quarantine Units of the Division of Agriculture are expected to address the meeting.

The session will take place at the Finance Conference Room, Financial Centre on Thursday 7th January at 2:30 p.m.

    About time we start paying serious attention to our borders/ coastal zones and tighten up on the importation of certain plants and animals into the nature isle
