The Cabinet of Dominica has approved a number of Bills for consideration when the seventh meeting of the tenth parliament convenes on Monday, 28th June, 2021.
Minister of State in the Office of the Prime Minister with responsibility for Telecommunications and Broadcasting, Senator Oscar George made the announcement this week.
The Bills include the Fiscal Responsibility Bill which will guide and anchor the fiscal policy of the government.
A Bill for an Act to amend the automatic exchange of financial accounting information Act number 6 of 2019 and a Bill for an Act to amend the Companies Act will be introduced as part of our international commitments to open and transparently exchange tax information will also be presented to Parliament according to George.
“A Bill for an act to repeal the international business company’s Act Chapter 78:01 will also be introduced,” George added.
Finally, he said in keeping with the government’s commitment to transform the health sector in Dominica, the Dominica Hospital Authority Bill will be introduced to provide for the establishment of the Dominica Hospital authority, the administration and management of the hospitals and health facilities.
Dictatorship we have, parliament is just a farce to make people believe all is well.

So what we now have is PAYliament and, therefore expect all of these PAYliamentarians to continue to behave as faithful servants of their master
The Dominican parliament has mutated into a useless instrument. It’s a House where men in jackets and ties curse like drunkards; the Speaker performs for an audience of one man only; the misleader talks long and says nothing; the opposition leader speaks with clarity and conviction and is grudgingly, constantly and willfully interrupted and stymied by the uncouth Joker in charge.
What I’m saying is that parliament is a hangout where anarchy reigns. Should be officially renamed Animal Farm. Some go there just to bray.
