Portsmouth mother wins $21,575

The grand prize winner poses with Lottery officials

A Portsmouth mother is now $21,575 richer after winning the Lottery Powerball Games.

Eleanor Edwards, a mother of four, is the second grand prize winner for 2012.

“Keep playing because you never know it is your turn to win … remember you’ve got to be in it to win,” an elated Edwards told the media.

The Dominica National Lottery in collaboration with Fine Foods Incorporated also launched a Christmas Daily 3 promotion.

Each buyer who spends over $9 on daily 3 tickets receive a free letter.

The promotion runs until the 31st of December 2012 and every buyer who’s able to form the words HAM, RUM or CASH with the letters which they acquire, will win a prize.

Winners will receive a free bottle of rum or a cash prize.

Good luck! As the saying, if you do not have a ticket, you do not stand a chance.
I hope that she puts the money to good use. Do not allow anyone to turn your head around. There are instances of people winning big prizes and the end is not pleasant. They also become paupers.
A lady told me that a friend of hers in Toronto won approximately $50,000 in a lottery crossword puzzle. She saved some for her children’s education and bought some things for herself, husband and children. This is wise spending.
Last evening on my way home at the subway I decided to purchase a Poker ticket for $2.00. I was fortunate to win an instant $175.00. This was a pleasant surprise. I have previously won that amount. I surely wished it were more. The evening free ticket garnered nothing. Last week I won $50.00 in an instant Poker. Call this pocket change. This is purchased at convenience stores, some grocery stores and at subway kiosks. Just lucky but sometimes for weeks, nothing. Occasionally I win some money but not as much as this lady. I surely wished that I could win that much and more.
No one gives you free money and for nothing. Depending on what one needs, money goes quickly. It comes in handy. This is why people play the lottery. You might as well play the lottery but be frugal. Do not spend all your money and do not be addicted. This is my message to all of you. I do the same. Furthermore, there are times it takes only one ticket to win. May more of you win the lottery, as I wish for myself. I am always happy to know that someone who is in dire need of financial help wins it. God bless and good luck!
