Seton students help collect research on Dominica during summer break

While some Seton Roadrunners preferred to lounge by the pool, hang out at the beach or stroll around the mall during their summer break, a select group of students decided to spend their summer participating in an environmental program on the island of Dominica.

Not to be confused with the Dominican Republic, Dominica is a quaint island in the middle of the Eastern Caribbean Archipelago. It is known as the “Nature Island”, because of its expansive rain forest and scenic beauty. There is much to explore on the island, from the coral reef on the coast to the world’s second largest boiling lake.

Ten Seton sisters were able to travel to the beautiful island of Dominica this summer and participate in a research program funded by an organization known as Operation Wallacea. Operation Wallacea is an organization aimed at scientific research of remote areas, providing help through volunteers and students.

Thank you Michaella for your positive exposure of our beautiful island. I’m curious though where that mall would be to tempt students to stroll around. In all my years in Dominica I was not aware that we had such a facility. Another plus for our nature isle perhaps?

If you had taken a little more time to READ and UNDERSTAND what the first paragraph was saying, then you would not have written that ridiculous comment about the mall.

That is the problem, we read for reading sake without understanding what we are reading then we comment before we think of what we going to say smh

The author was not referring to Dominica, when he/she made the comment about the malls. :-D
