Two brothers from Mahaut, who are fishermen, are said to be missing since late Sunday afternoon.
A relative told DNO on Tuesday that Vernon Benjamin and Dever Benjamin went fishing between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm on Sunday and have not returned.
The relative said it is common practice for the two to go fishing in the evening and return the next day.
He said to his knowledge a policeman has visited the family’s home but is not sure whether a formal report has been made.
The police have not released an official report on the matter.
amen they are safe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes things happen for our learning experience,to remind us that there is a God above, without him we can do nothing, behind every dark cloud there is a silver lining,we must be patient in tribulation,God is in control,to their mother I pray that you find comfort, strength and courage to face this trial my prayers and the prayers of so many are with you, don’t give up.Cry when you need too but hold on strong because tears is a language that God understands.Blessings, your test is going to be your testimony,Amen!
Police still busy camping out in Marigot while missing people are yet to be found. Suffice it to say these men are determined and brave men for one Sunday was father’s day and normally that’s a day when men generally stay close to family and friends whether they are fathers or not, secondly Sunday was extremely rainy with occasional gusty winds and there was an advisory out from the MET on sea conditions. However God knows man’s heart therefore I pray almighty God WILL be done in this matter. Let’s pray for the best knowing whatever the outcome God is in control.
Nothing to be afraid about them fellas gone on a dash
God I come before you! Now perfect or sinless but as a wretched sinner who found grace through your son Jesus Christ!
Almighty God i ask for your favour and guidance upon dever and his bro! Father please allow them to get home safe and in good health! God I also pray that this testing will draw them closer to you!
All in pray and believe in Jesus’s name! Amen!
I believe your prayres have been answered
I hope they will be found with no impediment. Hope for the best.

The police have not released a report because they simply don’t know.
A policeman visited the home. This shows the police care.
My wife and I lived on the east coast of Canada in the Maritime province of Nova Scotia, in several ocean shore villages. The men went out to fish. We well know the fear and grief that grips a community when several of the fellows don’t come back.
Hope DNO will keep us informed.
Please be assured we are praying for the family and community involved.
I ask those who know the Lord to join us in prayer.
Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Evangelist.
What I don’t understand however, is the frequency with which Dominica’s fishermen go missing. I dare say that we must be doing something wrong. I live on another Caribbean island where fishing and boating is quite a big thing and incidents such as these are quite rare. Having said that, the fishing and boating people over here for the most part have several communicating and navigating equipments on their boats.
Wasn’t that the stormy day? why did they go fishing?
I hope that they are found safe.
WOW. SAD. HOPE ALL IS WELL WITH THEM
sad, hope they are still alive
