Christians worldwide are today observing Good Friday, an important part of Holy Week within the season of Lent; it is a significant day for Catholics and Christians in general, worldwide. It commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Calvary, an event central to Christian theology.
On this solemn day, Catholics engage in fasting, penance, and reflection on Jesus’ sacrifice. The Stations of the Cross, a 14-step devotion, is often performed, symbolizing Jesus’ journey to Mount Calvary. Each station represents a specific event from his suffering, from condemnation by Pontius Pilate to his burial.
The liturgical observance includes the reading of the Passion, the narrative of Jesus’ trial and suffering. The Veneration of the Cross, a unique ceremony where individuals show respect to the cross, is also a key part of the service.
Good Friday’s significance lies in its representation of Jesus’ love for humanity. His willing sacrifice, accepting death for the redemption of mankind’s sins, is a profound demonstration of divine mercy. This day reminds Catholics of the depth of their faith and the price of their salvation.
In essence, Good Friday is not just a day of sorrow, but also a day of hope. It sets the stage for Easter Sunday, the celebration of Jesus’ resurrection, marking victory over sin and death. Thus, it’s a pivotal part of the Catholic faith’s narrative of redemption.
You know; it’s not true to say that “Christian’s all over the world are observing Good Friday and lent” whatever that is!
You see that comes out of Rome, it’s a Roman Catholic doctrine.
There is absolutely no place in the word of God written in the Bible, both the Roman Catholic, and the Protestant bible were the word lent, nor Good Friday are found.
Jesus never told anyone to celebrate such Roman Catholicism teachings.
However, Jesus ordered that believers , Christians observe and celebrate the Passover. As such he broke bread, gave to his disciples, along with wine which they eat and drank, telling them to do this in remembrance of “me” (him!)
One must remember that everyone in the world are not religious nor Roman Catholic, so how can the whole world participate in a ritual that is distinctly Roman doctrine.
Everyone doesn’t put ashes on their foreheads!
That again is a Catholic ritual that has nothing to do with the worshiping of God!
Every Friday is a good Friday. What’s so special about this Friday?
Don’t fool you all selves and go to Hell. There is a vast difference between people who say they are “Christians” and those who are the born again Christians. That same Jesus Christ that you all are mocking uttered these words to church goers and said, “Except a man be born again he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” It doesn’t matter which religion you belong to or whether you or not you have religion because religion itself cannot save your soul. If such were the case Jesus Christ would have name that religion. Fatima, Easter, Pentecost Sunday, way of the cross, pilgrimages, last sacrament, bush water bath, and religious observances ….none of these nor any other rituals can save a man soul from Hell. Listen! Jesus Christ says, I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE; NO MAN COMES TO THE FATHER BUT THROUGH ME.” Not even through Mary his mother. And even Mary herself called Him her Lord. So I don’t know where Fatima coming in there. I am the door 🚪 Jesus said. The only single Door
