Cancer Society director advises to maintain healthy lifestyle

Cuffy

Dominicans are being asked to get rid of the soft drinks, also known as soda, and fast food and begin eating healthy if they want to reduce their chances of cancer.

That call has been made by Director of the Dominica Cancer Society Father Franklyn Cuffy, who says a radical change in the diet of Dominicans needs to be done.

He said too many Dominicans are being diagnosed with cancer and believes not enough is being done to deal with the matter.

Cuffy, a local Catholic priest, said the Cancer Society is doing all it can.

“We need to change our lifestyle as a population and as a people. We have a lot of fast food coming into our culture and soon we will not be able to boast of centenarians in our country,” he said.

Meantime Cuffy said a public meeting on May 12 at the Prevo Cinemall has been organized to educate the public on matter.

In 2008, 45 men died of prostate cancer locally.

Father Cuffy is correct as far as he goes. He is talking about the chemicals that the corporations are putting in the soft drinks by design such as the high fructose corn syrup, Splenda, phospates, NutraSweet/aspartame, crystal fructose, etc. These substances are triggers for obesity and diabetes type 2. Aspartame kills your brain cells and other nerve cells. It is a neurotoxin.

Cancer is triggered by substances that cause mutation of cells into abnormal cells…. in other words, toxic substances of which there are many. There are potentially carcinogenic substances put into the food, water and air on purpose. People who are raising produce here on the island need to do so organically, without herbicides (Gramazone, Paraquat, Serazone, etc.) and pesticides as these are primary estrogenic substances that are prominently implicated in reproductive types of cancer such as prostate, breast, ovarian, and testicular. It is the responsibility of food producers here to produce food that is not detrimental to the health of other people.

Cancer cells cannot survive in an organism which is rich in a chemical called THC. (Found in cannabis)

Instant reaction #1: “Who is this pothead talking nonsense online?”
Instant reaction #2: “oh no another legalize marijuana campaign.”
Instant reaction #3: ” Lie dat, Lie I tell you Lie Lie Lie!”
Instant reaction #4: “maybe but at what cost, your brain? your life?”
Instant reaction #5: “That DRUG will kill you early, alter the way your brain functions, make your lips turn black, turn you to a psychopathic violent killer, destroy your family and your soul, make you impotent and bla bla bla.”

Truth is, these instant reactions are all due to brainwashing of some sort or the other. If the cancer society really want’s to claim it’s doing ALL that it can to decrease the amount of cancer fatalities, they nede to at least consider medical marijuana as an option . . .

    ohhhh, but thats illegal . . . .

I know . . . so in that case, i hope we have the same amount of fun counting cancer fatalities, as the numbers slowly rise year after year.

Please, however, do not underestimate the benefit of proper diet and exercise in cancer prevention.

Inhaled or ingested Burnt organic material are some of the most carcinogenic materials known. they are transformed from harmless to carcinogenic substances.

Smoke of any form is toxic hence the reason God gave us a natural cough or sneeze response to it.

Marijuana like alchohol and tobaco are drugs.

Mind altering substances affect the concious level contrary to optimal homeostasis…

  4. corrections on carcinogens
    May 4, 2010

Cancer is caused by one of the following
    Genetic defects:
    1. Those that you are born with/inherited 2. Those that occur during your life time.
    3. A combination of the two.
    4. Those that occur while you are in your mothers womb.

Things that damage the genetic material are carcinogens.
Carcinogens include radiation from radioactive elements. Such as quarry dust ,benzines like many those in asphalt/colas fumes and other petroleum products, oncogenes that are introduced by viruses.

SWeet drinks do not cause cancer. The fat is what stores the carcinogens and by extension exposes you to the effect of the carcinogens.
The sweet reduces the effectiveness of your immune system which therefore reduces your ability to recognise abnormal/mutated cells.
