Candle light procession and service to remember victims of cancer

Cancer and its impact on Dominica and its residents will grab the spotlight when a Dominica Cancer Society (DCS) convened candle light procession and service is held on Saturday (May 19).

According to the DCS the procession kicks off at 6pm from Roseau’s Peebles Park, and will proceed from there along the Bay Front and through the Roseau Market across the New Bridge to Pottersville.

A prayer and healing service will follow at the New Day Fellowship and Deliverance Ministries building on Elliot Avenue, where the opportunity will be provided for family and friends to remember relatives who died from cancer.

The service is expected to be attended by head of state – President Nicholas Liverpool.

Great initiative. Need to have it at the park with a bit of activities, say, walk for cancer victims around the park etc.
