An international society based in London has selected a medical center here to receive the “Quality Achievement Award” for work done in the local health sector.
The Justin Fadipe Medical Center, located in Mero, will receive its award in three weeks time.
The center was awarded by the European Society for Quality Research(ESQR), an organization that “promotes quality awareness, recognizes good business practices, technological innovation, quality achievements in organizations worldwide, and publicizes these organizations’ successful performance strategies.”
Proprietor of the Center, Dr. Basil Fadipe, in an exclusive interview with DNO said the award is a tribute to hard work.
“We feel quite good… we feel rewarded for what we have been doing in the background over the 12 years,” he said. “What surprised me was that I didn’t know people was watching from a far away as Europe … this came to me totally as a pleasant shock.”
According to Fadipe he received a letter on Friday announcing the award for “excellence, innovation, critical thinking and the spread of knowledge.”
The letter also informed him that the award will be presented on Sunday 7th July 2013 in London.
The Justin Fadipe Medical Center is both a Clinical and Academic center and has been in existence since 2001.
It was named after the proprietor’s father, Justin Fadipe.

Congrats on this award. Very well deserved. This Dr was very kind and helpful to my husband. He also as a good sense of humour and helped put
him at ease. One of the good guys. Once again, many congratulations.
Dr Fadipe possesses a lot of attributes that many other doctors lack. He is caring, compassionate, kind, and honest. With Dr. Fadipe health comes before wealth. As a patient, I am completely satisfied with his care. I got to know about him from one of his patients and I have told others who are now very pleased with his service. Good things come to good people. May the Lord continue to bless and keep you Dr Fadipe.
Dr. Basil Fadipe…
A man that is responsible and accountable for his actions. He is an expert in his field with the ability of a deeper understanding of your problem and who is able to recommend a solution.
So here I say to you my buddy:
“Bless is the man whose bowels move and merit with pity for the poor…
He in his time of greatness need
Shall find the Lord has bowels too”
From a friend in London, England – I’ll keep you guessing!!!

PMH? PMH What? If you want to die just go up there. My brother in law had a terrible accident broken jaw and arms and it took Dr Fadipe to realise that and take him immediately to theatre. those of you who remember that terrible accident in Portsmouth. magway sa. The Cuban doctor just kept giving him Paracetamol not matter how much the boy told the Dr he feel his bones were broken. i had to take the sister to tell the Dr that and so the boy relatives had to force the dr to sign the paper to release him to take him to Fadipe. Awa shame

I took it for PMH. So when are we getting one for PMH?
I think you’ll die before that.I do not wish to offend anyone, but as a Dominican i have to be honest with myself and the rest of the population. No offence to the good people who toil everyday in the health department trying to make a difference in the lives of our people but the truth is what it is.I want to tell the nurses, doctors and all the support staff at the Ministry of Health to continue to serve to the best of their abilities for the good of the nation.
Who is we????
