Hit-and-run suspect apprehended

The individual who was being sought by police in the alleged hit-and-run motor vehicular collision that claimed the life of Al Samora Knight of Portsmouth has been apprehended and is now in police custody.

This was confirmed to Dominica News Online (DNO) by Inspector Fixton Henderson on Wednesday.

According to previous reports from Inspector Henderson, on Saturday 11, March 2023, at about 6:40 PM, Knight was standing on the western side of a public road at Holland Street in Zicack Portsmouth when he was struck by a motor vehicle.

Henderson said the driver failed to bring the motor vehicle to a stop after the collision and drove away from the scene.

He further disclosed that after the collision, Knight was found lying on the street with apparent serious head injuries.

Knight was then transported to the Reginald Fitzroy Armour Hospital in Portsmouth via ambulance, where he was examined and pronounced dead by a medical doctor that same evening.

The body is being kept at a funeral home pending an autopsy.

DNO will continue to follow this story and provide more details once they become available.

So if the driver has been apprehended by the police why did they not disclose his name and show his damn face? What are they hiding? Is there something they know that they don’t want us to know? Or was that hit and run a planned fatal accident to get rid of evidence like we saw in the shooting death of that Alexander young man of Bells when he was the only person that might have been able to help up know about the missing 12 year old girl? I’m sorry for raising so many questions but we have a corrupt regime and very corrupt police department I just can’t trust
