2013 First Caribbean International Bank (FCIB) Dominica unsung hero, Bonti Liverpool, along with two other individuals from the region, received thank you gifts and cash towards their cause during a ceremony on Monday 21st October, 2013.
The ceremony, which took place in Barbados, brought together three individuals who were labelled unsung heroes from Dominica, Curacao and St Vincent respectively.
Liverpool, a self confessed drug addict who, through his own efforts, prayers and the support of his mother, rehabilitated himself, has now dedicated his life to saving others.
However, prior to that, he was known as an upstanding community leader –a Scout Leader, active on the Board of the Community Credit Union, and a teacher and organizer of community sporting activities. He lost all standing in the community when he got involved in drug and alcohol abuse, including cocaine and marijuana.
Congratulations Mr. Bonti.
Proud of you!
Congratulations are in order for you Mr Liverpool, the greater the trials if we persevere, the bigger the blessings. Bonti, you are more than a conqueror, keep doing what you are doing and may the super of God be always on your natural.Step by step with you ,congrats man.
Congratulations to you, Bonti. Yours is a journey of courage, hope and inspiration. You have taught us that there is nothing that we cannot accomplish with determination, hope and optimism. I always knew you as a very hard working man, in the community. No matter what you have been through in life, you were able to fight your demons, and overcame them.
Many people have lots of material things, yet they contribute nothing to the development of their fellow men. You have achieved so much, and I salute you for all your hard work. You have brought hope and change to the lives of countless others, our society has failed. You are a giant among men. You are my hero! I pray that God continue to guide and protect you.
Unfortunately, the government of the day did not see it fit to award him the national day award for which he was nominated, however, God and the region has recognized and awarded him and God will continue to bless, guide, reward, assist and uphold him for the very good work which he is doing for the scouts, the homeless vagrant (drug addicts & alcoholics). Keep on praying and believeing in God and He will continue to make you shine. Congratulations and God’s blessings and best wishes…..Chief..! all the Scouts love you..!

Congratulation Mr. Liverpool. I am very proud of you seeing where you were and where you are today. You are a hero and a roll model to Society.
congrats brother u deserve it!
Believe in yourself or no one else will
Congrats Chief… You deserve it!
Congratulations Sir Liverpool. I am so proud of you and all of your accomplishments. You have been my hero growing up the community of Grand bay as a Boy Scout of the First Grand Bay Scout Troop. Your story has no doubt inspired the country and the rest of the world. You have contributed in so many ways in shaping my life as a young man to be the man I am today. With all that you’ve been through you still emerged a winner. Conquering the demons within you was just a matter of time. This attribute was always part of your character exhibited in your leadership as Scout Master and other leadership positions in the community.
I pray that God will guide and strengthen you as you move forward in life and I hope the people of Grand Bay will continue to embrace and cherish your achievements. ( Simpson Pacquette )
A sure candidate for this years national awards. I have followed this man’s career from since 2007 when he introduced my son to scouting at SMP. I could never understand how a man who had reached so high in society had fall down so low and had managed to pick up his self up and to be doing so much for those vagrants, scouts, cadets, other groups and institutions in Dominica. That is what I call a real role model.
