Former Prime Minister of Dominica, Patrick John, was rushed to the Princess Margaret Hospital on Sunday night.
DNO understands he was admitted to the facility with heart issues.
This is not the first time that John, who is Dominica’s first Prime Minister, has been taken to hospital with heart problems.
In November last year, he admitted to hospital with the same problem.
He was subsequently taken to Martinique for further medical attention.
While in Martinique, he also had surgery on his right knee.

Regardless of his history, he has to be recognized as the former Prime Minister of the country, the same who the British told you accept Independence, whether you like it or not, if you refuse after five years of State Hood in association with Britain we are severing ties with Dominica.
Under such circumstance Patrick too Dominica into independence, and done very well, he began to develop country in a way that would make Dominica strong economically; one of greatest accomplishment is the bank which he organized, which is still in existent today which has become a gold mine for the thieves who are now in power.
If Savarin did not declare war on Dominica, overthrowing John, Patrick John would not have any reason to retaliate in the manner he did! It takes two to tango, today the man responsible for destroying the economy of Dominica in 1979 is living high on the hog sucking there blood of the playing president.
He is worst than John!

Greetings. I remember Mr Patrick John. His efforts, dynamism and desire to enhance and develop our beloved County Dominica will never be forgotten.
We needed someone with his Caliber to lead us to modernisation and progress, that we Dominicans will have a better way of life and our country be devolved without loosing our Natural Status and Structure.
He won, but never had the opportunity to fulfill his calling.
May he be Blessed and protected by God throughout his life.
His sufferings has been endless. Along with his coligues.
He may still have another chance to make this dream come true.
