Men honor widows, mothers in Cochrane

A mother being recognized

Widows from the community of Cochrane were given special recognition at a special tea party for mothers on Mother’s Day.

The event was organized solely by the men of the community.

Mothers in the area expressed their heart-felt appreciation but the widows were overwhelmed for being singled out. They believed that such recognitions made them feel part of the community and they did not feel alone.

The event ended with music and dancing into the night.

The mothers of Cochrane, especially the widows, extend their congratulations to the men of the community for their time and efforts.

thanks to the person who recognized the individuals in the pictures. Not everyone is from Cochrane, so it would be nice if DNO captionmed the names of the mothers.
