Dominica announced its first case of the coronavirus on March 22. Since then the figure has increased to 14.
In an effort to contain the spread of COVD-19 on the island, the government has declared a state of emergency with an accompanying curfew.
Over the past week or so, DNO has taken to the streets of Roseau to see how Dominicans are responding to the changes which COVID-19 has imposed on their lives. (Photos by Cecil Clarke.)

The pharmacy management should put someone outside to remind people to stay 6 ft or else they may take a different direction with that 6ft. I mean 6ft under.
OMG. Dominican women are sooo stylish…!
You can say that again.
They haven’t got a glue! Too much KFC and chinese cheap clothing…
Dominicans please practice social distancing at least 6 ft, Some of these pictures are frightening.
Some of these people are standing too close to each other
Masks are useless unless you have them over your noses!!! And if you don’t do that don’t use them – save them for health care workers!
Not very much social distancing going on in these photos – especially the ones outside Jolly’s Pharmacy. You need to be 6 feet apart for it to be effective – forget the 3 feet thing.
If you don’t need to go out, STAY HOME.
Wash your hands often, with soap – it’s the foam that kills the virus. 20 seconds minimum.
If you have any symptoms, STAY HOME. Call your local health centre for instructions, don’t just show up.
Get with the program Dominica – or there won’t be many of you left.
Pray all you want, but remember the Lord helps those who help themselves.
STAY HOME!!!
Please.
