The boy, from Romford, Essex, who cannot be named, appeared at Highbury Corner Youth Court, where he admitted being part of a gang of youths who looted the town’s Debenhams store on Monday night [August 8].
His appearance came as court staff ploughed through an influx of cases from recent riots in London.
Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court, in north London, sat throughout Tuesday night to deal with cases, and is likely to again on Wednesday.
Defendants ranged in age, from different parts of London. The boy was the youngest defendant to appear in Highbury today.
Wearing a blue Adidas tracksuit, the youth spoke only to confirm his name, age and date of birth.
The government has laws giving children right. So they will bear the burden with those children. Parents should not have to pay for the crimes of their children. Put them in jail. Some of them should have been in coffins today they are to worthless and wicked
..Alas, it is true, but mothers were taking their children to teeth-out plasma screen TVs and help them carry it home. The little boy could not run fast enough, so Babylon catch him. The streets of London are not paved with gold…only FREE cell phones, clothes from Primark and TVs from Dixons & Currys if you’re quick enough or crazy enough to take part in the madness that is going on here. Dominicans be wise and stay inside your homes!
‘The streets of London are not paved with gold etc’ that made me laugh.
Memories came flooding back, especially shopping in Primark.
Stay indoors, only go out when necessary, thats the advise I’ve given my kids.
