Police are investigating how a 5-year-old boy managed to drive his mother’s minivan into a pole early this morning while on his way to buy candy.
The boy crashed the van into a pole at around 1 a.m. near Copia and Altura streets in Central El Paso. When police arrived at the scene, the boy apparently tried to run away but officers were able to catch him.
He told officers he was driving to a nearby store to buy candy.

i guess d parents spoil d child. always giving him candy wen he want didn’t get wen it didn’t had so he try findin away to get it on his own. oh parents grow ur children in the right way so they won’t depart from it..

At one am you think that’s neglect? YOu guys act like you don’t have kids. Parents sleep at 1 in the morning.. these kids are smart.. the child probably got up an figured cool mom and dad are asleep in their room… unlocked the door and the rest is history. My son’s not even 3 and he knows how to do almost anything. We need to just pray for parents. It’s not easy being one these days. Constant on your knees!
as i always say, it is easy to be mothers and fathers, but they have no idea or clue on how to become parents as well. Yes you people it is called parenting.
