KANDAHAR, AFGHANISTAN (BNO NEWS) — Nine people were killed and at least 81 others wounded on Saturday after a mass demonstration turned violent in Kandahar City, the Pajhwok news agency reported.
According to the governor’s office, Afghan security forces arrested 17 people, including seven armed men, in connection with violence during a protest against the burning of the Islam holy book Quran by a Florida, U.S., pastor on March 20.
“On 09: 15 am this morning, around 100 people started the demonstration in the Charso area of Kandahar City to condemn the abhorrent move of burning the Quran,” the governor’s office said in a statement.
Some private and public properties were damaged, while furniture and a bus in a girl high school were set ablaze. Police tried to control the mob, but the protest turned into riot.
Local administration in Kandahar condemned the “un-Islamic” and destructive actions in the statement.
The incident came a day after a similar protest that turned violent in the northern city of Mazar-e-Sharif left ten United Nations staff members dead and several others injured. A group of demonstrators attacked the UN operations centre, fired gunshots at peacekeepers guarding the compound and set fire inside it.

Muslim-Always, Jesus answers my prayers and all the time too. So don’t talk about what you don’t know. Maybe you should try Jesus. May you should visit the cathedral sometime in mid-May and find out about what Jesus can do – no one will have to tell you .. you will see first hand…visually with your own two eyes. It saddens me and of course specifically all Christians worldwide that Christians are murdered in those Muslim countries. Sometimes it is with no provocation. They just hate Christians which is the work of the devil which these people are not aware of.

Why? The name Muslim (Moslem as it was referred to in those days) now the Islam religion is by no means a peaceful one. Do not be deceived yourselves otherwise.
This type of religion came into existence long after Our Lord Jesus Christ came to earth, 2000 years ago. Islam came into existence approximately 600 years after the Catholic religion was established and others who called themselves Christians after they defected from the Catholic faith. Having stated that, let us not get into a religious discussion about this. Let us face the truth and the dilemma in which the world is presently in as being unsafe due to Islamic radicals.
Ever since the Moslem religion was formed they have prosecuted the Catholic faith and murdered Catholics. No exception the other religions who also embraced Christianity.
Those who listen to and read the news should know that it is by no means a peaceful religion. I have read that they are out to destroy Christianity. Also, that they are a fast growing religion, out to to oppress Christianity of all and to take over the world.
Governments beware of allowing certain people into your countries! Beware of traitors/wolves who masquerade themselves in sheep’s clothing as Our Lord Jesus Christ and the disciples have warned us – Holy Scripture.
I refer to this religion which does not accept Our Lord Jesus Christ as King and Savior of the world as a so-called religion. I am emphatically stating that God does not even recognize it for obvious reasons.
It is not a true religion as all those which do not accept Our Lord when God sent His Only Son that whoever believes in Him might be saved if we obey His (Our) Heavenly Father’s Commandments and the teachings of Our Blessed Lord.
In other countries where Muslims have migrated to, there are numerous problems – additional ones. It is understandably that they are not loved. These people want to undermine our Christian faith. They lobby the government to recognize not only their religion but their religious habits and practices which do not conform with that of the western world.
They are ignorant of the fact or ignore it that “When in Rome, you do as the Romans do.” This pertains to anywhere in the world they choose to reside.
Our Christian – Christmas celebrations are now diminished by those politicians who pacify them by calling it a mere holiday. We genuine practicing Christians in Canada, America and Europe are not pleased and are angry. We have every cause to be angry for obvious reasons.
I warn all world governments – politicians who are in governments – many of whom are Christians and who pacify them to get votes and to remain in power that they are selling their soul to the devil. They should be aware of this for God who knows, sees and hears all things has taken note. On specifically the inevitable day of their judgment they will regret it for all eternity.
These people do not fear insulting Our Lord Jesus Christ and His Christian religion and also murdering Christians in their countries. Yet they expect full-fledged treatment when they migrate to other countries. In fact world governments as the U.S. are financially aiding them. Talk of lack of love, ingratitude and wickedness of the heart.
Make a statement against Mohammed and their Koran and do something to the latter, they will murder Christians. What type of religion is that?
In any case, the Koran instructions were taken from the Jewish and Christian Holy Bible. They will not endorse this. They prefer giving credence to and honoring a sinful man rather than a godly man who is holy and pure, Our Lord Jesus Christ.
In their moral and spiritual ignorance they are not oblivious of the fact that Our Lord Jesus Christ is The One who will judge them when they die.
If only those Moslems who have died would return to inform them about eternity and what eternity is like, they may just believe. On the other hand, Our Lord said: “Even though they (the Rich man and Lazarus) would return to warn his brothers and sisters, they would not believe.” They will have to pay the price on that day.
Let us not be scared to stand up and speak the truth. Our Lord said: “Whoever is ashamed of Me and My Word I will be ashamed of him (her) when the Son of Man comes in His glory with His holy angels.” And, “Whoever does not acknowledge Me before all men I will not acknowledge him (her) before My Heavenly Father.”
He also said: “Whoever wishes to save his life in this world, will lose it in the end” – for all eternity.
This is a serious matter and to be taken seriously.
As the saying: “Fear not that thy life shall come to an end. Rather fear that it will never have a beginning.”
Those who murder will mete their eternal fate in time. Our consolation is, praise be to the fairness and justice of Our Heavenly Father through the Most Precious Blood of His Blessed Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Muslim always and everyone else you are all wrong, it is wrong and stupid for Muslims in Afghanistan to react to something that happened in Florida. They need to learn to handle their grievances in an Islamic manner, with their government maybe, Muslims are instructed in their scriptures to refrain from becoming angry and look what has happened, MUSLIMS are being killed, over the burning of a Qur’an that millions have already memorized.
The Pastor in Florida does not represent all of Christianity, just like the Terrorists in Afghanistan do not represent us. Allah has the power over everything leave it all in his hands. Muslims are outnumbered and disorganized, the few who practice true Islam would never agree to join forces with those claiming to be Muslim and committing murders on their own brother sisters and children in Afghanistan etc. so Christians, and Muslims living in peace in Dominica should just stay as it is and not let these events overseas cause us to hate each other.
Muslims live in peace with their christian brothers and sisters in Dominica, and those practicing true Islam will not allow one or two Muslims in Dominica or support them in their anger against Christians it is wrong and stupid, and I pray to God for the sake of all God fearing Dominicans, that our country never falls pray to violent riots, widespread poverty or war ameen.
I am a Christian but I must say that calling Dominica a God-fearing nation is a joke. Church leaders have relationships outside of their marriage, which is known and accepted by the whole community. The same leaders and our political leaders are known alcoholics and womanizers and no one says anything. We are quick to condemn the marijuana smokers and cocaine users but tolerate the excessive consumption of alcohol the is so prevalent in Dominica. There is no doubt that one gives rise to the other.

Yes Dominica is heading into the stage of rioting. There are many grievances in this society.
1. Cost of living and goods are going up as gas prices rise in the world, look at electricity for example.
2. Many murderers are walking out free. No justice, people are losing confidence in the court system. They removed Tiyani thus crimes are bound to increase.
3. Disgruntled opposition which spews hate over the radio station everyday against the Labour Party Administration. The political divisions are deep in this country.
4. More Chinese are establishing businesses and exploiting Dominicans with underpayment.
