Tehran, Iran (CNN) — Tens of thousands of demonstrators marched along Revolution Avenue in downtown Tehran on Monday, protesting the government of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, witnesses said.
The wave of people remained largely silent as they walked toward the capital city’s Azadi Square, though at one point they clashed with Iranian security forces that tried to disperse the marchers and divert them from the square.

As I write this comment, I am listening to Mr Jerry Brisbane address the media regarding the decision of the Government to build a Palace to house the President at a cost of 27million dollars .As I listen to the questions being posed to Mr Brisbane by so called Journalists; It occurs to me that the problem in Dominica is more serious than we think.
It’s a sad situation, when we have reached the stage where we the people who have elected this Government, are now afraid to ask questions, and demand answers to the serious situation that exist in the country. We need more Dominicans like Mr Brisbane, who have the “TESTICULAR FORTITUDE” to stand up to this Budding Dictatorship. Dominicans must undrstand that without serious ACTION on their part to STOP what is taking place, we are DOOMED !!
Domonicans, remember “WHEN THE PEOPLE ARE AFRAID OF THE GOVERNMENT, THERE IS TYRANNY, BUT WHEN THE GOVERNMENT IS AFRAID OF THE PEOPLE, THERE IS DEMOCRACY.
