A UK man has contracted what officials from the World Health Organization have agreed is a first: a case of gonorrhea that cannot be cured by first choice anti-biotics. Attempts are being by made by authorities to track down sexual partners of the man in order to contain the infection according to a BBC report.
The man who has not been identified seemed to have contracted the disease from a sexual encounter in South East Asia.

Gonorrhea has always been a highly contagious bacterial infection of the genitourinary human system; it is currently the most prevalent sexually transmitted disease. The reason it is difficult to treat at this time is because the bacterial is mutating (change characteristics), hence resisting the present form of antibiotics such penicillin.
Gonorrhea is caused by the bacterial organism Neisseria gonorrhoeae, or gonococcus. Characteristically, the gonococcus attacks the mucous membranes of the genital, and urinary organs, producing inflammation and pus. In adults the disease is almost contracted by coitus, ” sexual” intercourse with an infected person. Gonococcal pharyngitis, and proctitis occur in both males, and females as a result of orogenital or anogenital contact with an infected partner.

If a married couple remained faithful, and sex was used as tool which God designed it to be, there would be no sexually transmitted disease.
