Migrants leave Italian town amid violence

(CNN) — The message blaring out of the speakers on the van was stark: “Any black person who is hiding in Rosarno should get out. If we catch you, we will kill you.”

Abdul Rashid Muhammad Mahmoud Iddris got out.

He’s one of hundreds — perhaps thousands — of African migrants taken by bus out of the Italian town over the weekend after violent demonstrations shook southern Italy.

The unrest was among the worst of its kind in recent Italian history, said a spokesman for the International Organization for Migration.

“We have not witnessed such protests in a long time,” said Flavio Di Giacomo. “There were several thousand, but I don’t know exactly how many people were involved.”

@ Suggestion: what happen, you afraid for yourself nuh? you sounding like you afraid. Once you not born in a country, you can get kicked out. It’s as simple as that. And that’s the point Dumb-Me-In-Can was trying to make. It’s easy to make laws to implement the throwing out of illegal immigrants. And we don’t even have to go so far nuh to see it happening already. Take a look at Anguilla, Antigua, Cayman Islands. They are targeting illegal immigrants, Dominicans included.

A day may come when all these ignorant people may have to flea their country and go to another country like they did in the early days of the U.S yet it is always fascinating how people just love to hate each other. Then again it all goes back to our leaders, they are the ones we give the power and responsibility to to lead us, keep us safe and provide us with the schools, hospitals and an environment that creates jobs and a decent life for us that we would want to stay and build our country.. Yet thats a scenario thats rarely seen, most leaders provide for a few and disregard many.. leading people into poverty … So sad to see these things these African territories, so much land and resources yet so much hunger, poverty and violence. Its just madness.
