Update: Trump played by Putin, Helsinki summit judged a disaster

US President Trump and Vladimir Putin head of Russia shake hands at Helsinki Summit

*Trump has since back tracked on his previous statements. according to a reuters report. He is now saying in the midst of near unanimous criticism that he misspoke; he meant to say he saw no reason why it was not Russia that interfered in the 2016 U.S. election. Original story below.

US President Donald Trump has been universally panned for his performance at the Helsinki summit where he has completely bent over backward to Russian President Vladimir Putin to the point of defending Russia against allegations of election tampering, according to a CNN report.

The summit was held in Helsinki Finland with only Putin and Trump present in a closed room, with the exception of translators. Trump and Putin both responded to news reporters after the summit as is customary for such high profile events.

Words used in the other media to describe Trump’s performance include “disgraceful”, “abject”, “despicable”, “betrayal” and “weak”. Even Fox News, widely considered squarely in Trump’s corner, came out strongly against the sitting US President. Fox News Anchor Neil Cavuto said of Trump: “That’s what made his performance disgusting. Only way I feel. Not a right or left thing to me. It is wrong.”

This outspoken condemnation is due to Trump’s bewildering utterances about Russia and his own country. No less than twelve Russian agents have been indicted in a case against Russia for election tampering in 2016.

Overwhelmingly evidence seems to indicate Russia’s involvement, incredibly, Putin himself has admitted at the press conference with Trump present that he directed his officials to support Trump in the election.

In face of all this Trump actually said: “My people came to me, Dan Coats came to me and some others, they said they think it’s Russia. I have President Putin; he just said it’s not Russia. I will say this: I don’t see any reason why it would be.” Dan Coats is the National Intelligence Director for the US, who would be responsible for advising the president on matters of intelligence.

Update: Trump has since back tracked on his previous statements. He is now saying in the midst of near unanimous criticism that he misspoke he meant to say he saw no reason why it was not Russia that interfered in the 2016 U.S. election.

He further went on to say: “So I have great confidence in my intelligence people, but I will tell you that President Putin was extremely strong and powerful in his denial today.”

Trump essentially sided with the leader of a foreign country against his own intelligence agency. He even went a step further adding insult to injury by endorsing Putin’s offer to use his own Russian officials to help in the investigation. This offer by Russia is significant as the country has faced numerous allegations of corruption and human rights abuses against its own people including the murder of political dissidents.

When asked by a press reporter if he holds Russia accountable based on earlier criticisms of his own country Trump, outdid himself with this statement: “I hold both countries responsible. I think that the United States has been foolish. I think we’ve all been foolish.”

This astonishing lambasting of his country and himself has left people asking what exactly is going on between Trump and Putin. Trump’s humiliation at the hands of Putin has left him the punchline of many jokes by entertainers and comedians. Trump’s latest debacle has led both professional journalists and talk shows hosts wondering what sort of compromising material does Putin really have on Trump?

Trump should remind Dominicans of the PM that they have, when they have power they become dangerous and vindictive Putin played Trump like a violin because as he said he wanted Trump to win the election and he ordered his men to help make it so, that’s why Trump cannot and will not say anything against him because Putin would expose him he didn’t win the 2016 general election on his own, that’s what happen when greed sets in, now he looks like a laughing stock in the USA, and his supporters can’t help themselves they feed off each other. Dominicans the on person you should like or love that much is the Lord Jesus Christ.

Trump: NATO meeting ‘great’, Putin meeting ‘even better’, everything else ‘fake news’

    https://www.rt.com/usa/433506-trump-nato-meeting-great-putin/

He may have been called an ally-betraying Putin-loving traitor by the US liberal media, but Donald Trump is not making any apologies after his European tour that culminated in ground-breaking talks with the Russian president.
“While I had a great meeting with NATO, raising vast amounts of money, I had an even better meeting with Vladimir Putin of Russia. Sadly, it is not being reported that way – the Fake News is going Crazy!” Trump tweeted on Tuesday.

Trump was at the table with the mindset for playing a game of TRUMPS. Putin had the mindset of a Chess player because the game at hand was chess.  . And what a very interesting game of Chess it was!!! Trump was checkmated after the first two moves – in chess it is called a FOOL’s MATE.
This performance by Trump was so pathetic that I doubt he stumbled into it. Instead I think the guy is being held by the Short and Curlies – the guy is stressed and under duress. PUTIN will have his way and for a long time to come.
What is even more pathetic is that Congress can do nothing about it and TRUMP is there to stay even if he does more outrageously stupid things under duress. WHY? because Russia has dirt on all Congress and if they threaten Trump they will be under threat of exposure. So while boiling inside and stewing in their conscience, outwardly they must show allegiance to Trump.

America should know: You Cannot Reason with a Tiger When Your Head is in its Mouth.

Just wondering whether or not this article was written by DNO. It doesn’t feel like their usual style.
And on the “Trump/Putin Issue” just like with all other political issues: “people get the government that they deserve”.
America is just a racist country and they elected a racist white man to show the world how they truly feel.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he wins the 2020 elections. He has the hardcore base of deluded supporters who live in a world where “the great one” can do no wrong.
    Sounds familiar??

Hello and good evening my people. The answer to Trump in regards to Russia is in the Billy Bush Access Hollywood tape where he said he owns the Miss Universe Pageant show which he held in Russia so that gave him the right to walk into the contestant dressing room. He further said that you won’t believe the bodies you get to see when he walk into their dressing room. The Russian FSB taped him walking in on the contestant while they were naked therefore Putin is black mailing Trump with the secret recordings. Trump don’t understand that it’s difficult to tell a perfect lie that’s why he will be impeached with his own words and he’s a pathological liar.

Since we have no pressing economic or societal issues here in Dominica to discuss, let’s go ahead and focus our energies on Trump. I’m looking for some intellect resilient persons to join me in a discussion that has absolutely noting to contribute to Dominica’s development.

Hmm there will be a major announcement coming out of the Putin/Trump meeting in Helsinki.
Trumps blasting of the Euro bureaucrats was just the primer and very much Trump like.
His call that they were dealing with the supposed devil with one hand and defending against the same devil with the other very much echos his approach with North Korea.
The U.S. will drop sanctions against Russia and sign trade agreements.
And,how could Germany or the other EU countries complain? They have been put in a hard place by Trumps assertions because they effectively have no counter argument to that.
There has been mention of U.S. also bombing Syria a couple of times over the last few months. This is also part of the art of the deal with Russia,i am sure of it.Sort of an equalizer. Notice that Putin has been very quiet since then which bodes well for the meeting on the weekend, because he is not making waves.
