Iran promises retaliation after U.S. kills Iranian general

Protesters in Iran

Iran has vowed to retaliate against a US airstrike which took out one of its top generals, calling the move America’s”biggest mistake in west Asia” and threatening “severe vengeance”.

The call for revenge against the United States was made after the killing of Maj. Gen. Qassem Soleimani in an overnight airstrike at the Baghdad airport.

Iran’s Supreme National Security Council has issued a statement vowing to retaliate “in the right place and time”.

“America should know that its criminal attack on General Soleimani has been the country’s biggest mistake in west Asia, and America will not avoid the consequences of this wrong calculation easily,” it said.

“These criminals will face severe vengeance… in the right place and time,” it added.

The strike also killed Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy commander of Iran-backed militias known as the Popular Mobilization Forces, or PMF.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif called the assassination “an extremely dangerous and foolish escalation”.

“The US bears responsibility for all consequences of its rogue adventurism,” he said in a post on Twitter.

Iran warns of a harsh retaliation awaiting the US.

It’s not the US we have to be concerned about… It’s the Iranians… They want their 1.2 billion stolen by Monfared and hidden by some including Dominican individuals who made him a Dominican diplomat for their share of the loot.

America must continue to police the world according to Bible prophecy… Neither you nor I can change that. Only GOD can when he is ready.

Let’s focus on how we can improve things in Dominica instead of worrying about things in America and Iran.

Iran is wrong on this one.Is the U.S that retaliated, they have been provoking Trump. You will remember, not too long ago they brought down U.S drone and Trump gave the O.K. to hit Iran and hit so hard that they will never forget. But at the eleventh hour the president changed his mind and said
” Too many Innocent Iranians will die.”
And asked Iran and this Soleimani to behave themselves
Now instead this guy put a little water in his wine, as we would say, no, he interpret Trump’s kindness as weakness.
Now to those who say Trump is doing this as a distraction from the impeachment. It have been said,”The mind is a terrible thing to waste”
So please think for yourselves, right now only the Senate can remove Trump from office and the news is “the Senate is controlled by Republicans” when Trump was impeached by the house which is controlled by Democrats all Republicans voted against it and 3 Democrats voted with Republicans and one even cross over & became a Republican.

I’m trying to imagine how little one would have to know about history to think that Iran is the aggressor in the relationship between them and the U.S.

Since the second world war the U.S. has overthrown Iran’s democratically elected government and installed a dictator, has invaded and occupied two countries that border Iran, and has parked fleets of ships off their shores and flown warplanes skirting their airspace. I have no love for the ayatollahs, and their regime is no paradise, but Iran is far less of a rogue state than the U.S. is.

I think Donald Trump blundered because our world has changed significantly since the US invaded Iraq. Back then the enemy was Iraq and the war had to be fought in Iraq. That’s not the case today thanks to the CBI program that some of our CARICOM leaders have embraced as the only means of revenue . For example there are many Iranians with a CBI passport than at anytime before; some of them are even residing amongst us and could attack the US from right here. So Trump should have realized that enemies of the US are right here among us and while he is sending his troops to the middle East Skerrit and his CARICOM friends have more citizens from the Middle East than those of us that were born here. Let’s not forget that Skerrit had Monfared hiding in Dominica when he was running from arrest and Skerrit lied to us and told us he was a good gentleman from Malaysia when he knew damn well he was a wanted criminal from Iran. That CBI is the bigges threat to the US and the world than Iran

I hope Skerrit sends his troops to protect his Iranian friends and their interestd knowing Alireza Monfared is an Iranian and it’s been said that many Iranians bought passports in the Kimpinski hotel

Yeah and the US will run and hide. SMDH. War is simply part of human existence. Violence will only bring violence and revenge. He was a warrior so he died by the life he lived. He aint no saint. World war 3 just need to start and get over with. Humans will find something to war over as long as there is laziness, greed, inequities, arrogance scarcity of resources and so on. There will always be rulers, and followers and those looking to spread their ideas on others. Vengeance will only bring suffering and iran people will suffer most. We will see the new technology on display so enough talk just get it over with.

US killed one Dictator to save thousand and thousands of innocent people. Why DA getting involved?

If U.S. policymakers cared even slightly about saving innocent people — whether at home or abroad — they would behave very, very differently.
