Island Innovation rolls out Energy Independence for Islands Webinar: Geothermal Solutions

Island Innovation, a global agency self-described as a ” strategic consultancy which offers unique insights into sustainable development for islands”,  is hosting a public webinar focused on geothermal energy’s prospects within the Caribbean region.

Why geothermal energy? Because it represents a viable avenue for small island developing states (SIDS) to attain energy independence and enhance their resilience.

Scheduled for Wednesday, February 19, the event is set to commence at 09:00 AM EST (New York), 02:00 PM GMT (London), and 1:00 AM AEDT (Sydney, the subsequent day).

The webinar will delve into methodologies for securing financial support, fostering sustainable energy infrastructure, and lessening the dependence on fossil fuels. Simultaneously, the event will address various obstacles inherent in this field, encompassing environmental considerations, significant initial investments, and geographical limitations.

The webinar will feature a panel of esteemed sustainable energy specialists. These experts will provide their perspectives on geothermal energy’s progression, advancements in energy storage, and improvements to power grids customized for island environments.

This marks the inaugural session of the “Energy Independence for Islands: Geothermal Solutions and Funding Pathways” webinar series.
