JCI Dominica, in its efforts to engender positive change in the community, is set to host a public speaking competition in March as part of its 65th-anniversary celebrations. The competition, which encourages young voices to discuss matters of importance and shape the conversations of tomorrow, is one of the many engaging events planned for the year.
The anniversary celebrations, themed “From Vision to Action,” promise a calendar filled with fun and impactful events. The festivities kicked off in February with a Kiddies Carnival, a lively cultural event for children to showcase their creativity. February also saw the launch of the JCI Podcast, “Positive Change,” where past Jaycees and friends shared inspiring stories about how JCI has positively impacted their lives.
Following the public speaking competition in March, JCI Dominica will host a Sip n Shop event in April. This relaxed fundraising and networking event offers a chance to support local businesses, connect with others, and give back to the community.
JCI Dominica will also be present at key events such as the Jazz and Creole and Independence celebrations, where every dollar contributed will help make a difference in the community. The celebrations will continue into June with a Business Sports Meet, a day of games and laughter where businesses come together to compete and build teamwork.
JCI Dominica invites everyone to join in the celebrations and be part of the positive change in the community. The 65th-anniversary events are not just about celebrating the past, but also about taking action for a better future.
Apart from being a boys n girls club, what does JCI really do for our youth in Dominica?
