JCI Dominica Senate congratulates Senator Meritta Hyacinth on historic election as President of JCI West Indies

The members of the JCI Dominica Senate are delighted to extend heartfelt congratulations to Senator Meritta on her extraordinary achievement as she takes on the role of the 64th President of the JCI West Indies Board. Senator Meritta’s election marks a historic moment, not only for herself but for JCI Dominica and the entire JCI community.

This significant milestone of being the first-ever JCI Dominica member to be elected to the esteemed position of President of the JCI West Indies President in its 64 years of existence, is testament to Senator

Meritta’s dedication, leadership, and unshaken commitment to the principles of Junior Chamber International.

JCI Dominica Senate President, Alvin Thomas, expressed, on behalf of the Senators their pride and enthusiasm, saying, “This momentous achievement by Senator Meritta reflects the hard work, vision, and outstanding leadership she has consistently demonstrated within our local and regional JCI chapters. Her election serves as an inspiration to our members and an acknowledgment of our Senate’s support for her remarkable journey.”

Senator Meritta has been a role model for JCI members not only in Dominica but also across the West Indies region. Her strong advocacy for positive change and community development has left an indelible mark, making her an ideal choice for leading the JCI West Indies Board.

As President, Senator Meritta will play a pivotal role in advancing the mission and vision of JCI West Indies, fostering collaboration among the various JCI chapters, bringing fresh perspectives and innovative ideas. In her words, Senator Meritta has challenged her 2024 board – “Let us lead with unwavering passion, ignite the flames of empowerment, and continue to make positive impact every step of the way”.

The JCI Dominica Senate congratulates Senator Meritta once again and pledges its full support to her during her tenure as President of the JCI West Indies Board.
