Killer sentenced to 20 years for death of Dominican

Admitted murderer, Trevor Boston was sentenced to 20 years in prison on Friday for the shooting death of Steve Mingo of Dominica, an Antiguan online publication is reporting.

According to Antigua Newsroom, another man, Antonio Smith was released on a sentence of time served after pleading guilty to manslaughter for his role in the crime.

Boston shot Mingo three times at the victim’s home in Gray’s Farm after he and Smith had gone there to commit robbery in 2009.

    I think he is from dominica if am correct, his dad from calibishie but he was born in Antigua, that boy is bad like hell they should give him 50 years

    Trevor boy u and I went to school, we were in the same class, it’s sad bro that you have to spend most of your young life in prison. Smh. Man might not forgive u but god will if u seek his forgiveness.

    This is absolutely rubbish. Crime will continue to increase until hanging is restored but the justice system continues to fail the public. What a shame!!!

    Antigua…u need to share a piece of your pie with Dominica. our justice system is drowning. What about the other……fella in Portsmouth who killed Cloidy? He going to go free like them others to? let them people who do crimes pay their time. so many criminals among us in Dominica and the free or getting a small slap to do it again

    It was about time..Steve was like a brother to me! Ther’s nothing bad which can be said about Steve..Come on, you kill the guy for his own things? Brought so much pain and sorrow to us.. My God.. 20 years is not even enough.. This thing gets me so dam angry

    20 years for murder! Take note Dominica Court.
    When last did a murderer in Dominica get 20 years? This is not to state that he should not receive 20 years. He deserves this sentence. Could have been given more time. You deprive someone of his life. You do not deserve to be alive.

      The deceased is who’s home was the target. He was shot because the wanted to rob him of clothes and shoes he bought with his had earned cash.

        Because the can not find a job in their own country. Is only NEP we have and passport selling. We even don’t have bananas again to send to Antigua.
