Kelvin Thomas alias ‘Kitten’ of Wesley will spend one year and six months at the Stock Farm Prison for theft.
Thomas appeared before Magistrate Ossie Lewis Friday morning to answer to a charge of theft of two laptops and an external hard drive.
He pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced.
Reports are that on June 23, 2012, Thomas entered the home of Steve Laronde and stole an Acer laptop and an external hard drive.
When questioned by police Thomas admitted to the crime claiming that he “did not know what went in his head”.
But that was not the end of Kitten’s laptop-stealing spree. He struck again on July 8, 2012 at Miah’s bar in Bath Estate, where he stole a Dell Inspiron laptop belonging to Mosiah Challenger. Thomas later admitted to officers that he took the laptop and gave it to a Haitan to “hold” for him.
All the items were recovered and returned to the owners.

Kitten was missing his friend Miah so he went to collect the laptop to take to him at Stocky that laptop has all the music for the bar.
Who say a little music is not welcome at Stocky.

Kitten and Miah hsve been friends for long I just think he missed him so much since he is in Stocky that he wanted to take something to him so he took his laptop so he could enjoy some music.
Unfortuanately his brother was not as kind.

It’s not kitten’s fault. Iheard some story about his grand …… bringing him to steal from a certain religious group who had belongings in WoodfordHill. It was further stated that one of the head of that group in teh Wesley / Woodfordhill area cast a spell and is he it caught since the GF had protected himself.
Kelvin was my hero and icon, when he got the Island wide scholarship at the common entrance level in 1989. That inspired me to study hard and persevere against all odds. This resulted in me topping the Wesley common entrance examinations results and getting the only scholarship for Wesley the following year.
“Kitten” has a good head on his body but needs help. Most of his colleagues who were no where as bright as him has gone on to be engineers and doctors et al. K

You should stop telling lies. When did kitten sit common entrance? I thought he started high school in 1986 with a pass and in that year Wesley had three scholarships. Wesley had more than one scholarships in 1990. At least be truthful or just do not say anything. People on here know him just as well. By 1990 he was getting ready to leave high school. You are a serious story teller.

I went to school with kelvin. We all sat common entrance in 1986 and he did not get a scholarship. You too dam lie. Kelvin wasn’t even in grade 7a. Stop misleading people.

They should show his photo from head to toe. He could be the one who stole my Dell lap top and ran away. Never heard from police since report.
When they find them they should use skerrit- psychology on them. They may confess to other thefts.
He doesn’t know what went into his head? The devil made him do it. How far did he think he could go with stealing laptops and without others knowing about them?
I feel sorry for that guy. He needs to be rehabilitated so that he does not steal again. Otherwise he will live a life of crime. Bad habits are hard to break and without help. He needs God in his life.

he stole mines too. On march 10th, 2009. nothing came out of that. in addition he took two gold chains and a bracelet. one year and six months is not enough

Good for Ossie Lewis giving a proper sentence to a thief! I look forward to Ossie Lewis sentencing another theif in the very near future, who stole a lot more stuff!! This sentence will hopefully put off others from turning to robbing!
kelvin is someone who is in need of professional help,not only him but all those who are like him.I wish I could help.As a mother it breaks my heart because you never know what could happen to your children,nephews,cousins,neighbours,your children friends.kelvin is smart this is the same cousin Alex Bruno had the interview with,many of us heard him.Please let’s pray for these young mind.
