As Early Childhood Month comes to an end, children of Laura’s Day and Night Nursery were given the opportunity to host what was described as a “very successful” career day which was dubbed, “Cartoon Character Day” on Wednesday.
Manager of the nursery, Laura George told Dominica News Online (DNO) during an interview that “Cartoon Character Day” was chosen because the children are much smaller.
“The activity was very success and the children had a lot of fun,” George said.
According to her, part of Wednesday’s activity included a visit from reigning Carnival Queen Tasia Floissac.
“It was great, the children had a lot of fun with her,” George stated. “They listened to the stories and interacted with her.”
She continued, “It was her first visit to the daycare and she was amazed to see how the children interacted with her and how much they knew.”
Miss Floisacc was given a gift basket at the end of the ceremony, compliments parents and staff.
‘Early Childhood Month’ is observed every year in November.
