Sometimes as leader one must pick when to be the voice of the people. Being in the House where the voice of the people should be recorded. You are on FACEBOOK record. History will have you recorded on Facebook I will be calling FACEBOOK’s minutes to find the record.
We have already gone through democratic process and have a constitution which governs the house. Use the house as a class and facebook and he media is not where the budget response and alternative budget should be presented.
As an elected official who the people elected to speak on the there behalf – you should follow the process and let their voice be heard in the house or the plans you have for them ON OFFICAL RECORD. You all are being presented as a ROGUE movement not a party that is ready and willing to engage int eh Democratic process.
Parliament this is where you have to go on record and do the people’s business not the media.

My brother you are the only voice of the people. There is a saying “Where there is no voice , the people perish”. If it were not for the voice of the leader of the opposition leader my people would have been doomed to perish. And even for those who are biased and negative towards you deeply rely on your voice to know what is going on in and around them with regards to this corrupt regime headed by King Liar who has managed to silence everyone else but you. Peter, that’s precisely how I feel. Mr. Linton, with his superb oratorical and journalistic adeptness has prevented the autocratic maladministration from destroying all democratic practices in Dominica’.
I, personally, am usually apolitical. But the roguish, immoral, corrupt and criminal behavior of the incumbent despotic dictatorship has made it unconscionable for me to keep silent while the inalienable and constitutional rights citizens are severely suppressed; Skerrit and his gluttonous disciples live in exquisite opulence; the police force acts like a death squad and the country goes to ruins.
Nothing lasts forever. Mr. Linton, don’t be discouraged by your detractors for they go tin cup in hand looking for crumbs from the mumbling, dim-witted misfit in charge of the country’s affairs. Don’t go weary of your tireless advocacy for a better standard of living for your countrymen who you care genuinely and passionately about.
Where are all the pro democracy voices? A set of biased, small minded, dismissive braying I’m seeing…where are all the usual pro opposition voices?….the calm before storm perhaps??? Lord please help all of us see the light before its too late

DNO, you can pretend to be broadcasting this in the “interest” of the public, but actually what you are doing is allowing this kind of behavior to continue.
ADMIN: You are mistaken we want the opposite. We want behaviour to change that’s why we encourage an open forum and publish dissenting views – even those critical of us.
Free speech is the backbone of any democracy that’s precisely why we want the opposition to have a voice.
DNO, you publish items by both political parties and that is not in dispute. Four things I wish to bring to your attention.
1) The number of articles you publish for the incumbent DLP maladministration pales in comparison to the very few you publish for the opposition parties. Ridiculously so! Inexcusable!
2) You do a gross disservice to your readers and the county by just regurgitating what was said. There is no independent analysis or verification of the veracity of the statements from those in power knowing fully well that these people bend the truth 99.999% of the times.
3) By trying so hard not to offend the power that be many times you inadvertently skew the truth or don’t give an accurate account of what transpired.
4) You hardly, if ever, do one-on-one interviews with those in charge. Try to get your information from the horse’s mouth.
ADMIN: While you may choose to not acknowledge this, we have responded to each of these points to you before in separate posts. However, for the sake of those who have similar concerns and may have not have seen our responses please note the following in the order they were stated above:
1. Incumbent governments ,by fact of being the government, commonly generate the most news of any entity in any country. This would be true in Dominica regardless of it was a UWP, APP, Freedom etc formed government.
2. We endeavor to report the facts so that readers are free to form their own views. If you wish to opine at length, we regularly publish user submitted commentaries. If you expect us to tell the public what to think then you have confused us with another entity.
3. We regularly report articles that are unfavourable to the government, however as a practical consideration, we are legally liable for our posts. Anything that we publish (including comments) must be done with the law in mind. Failure to do so would affect our ability to operate viably as a business and ,ironically, our ability to stay independent. The “news” you get from anonymous posters (Ma Boyd’s kitchen for example) are not subject to such liability.
4. Our occasional invite to the PM’s talk show aside, it is very difficult in Dominica to get public officials, police, healthcare workers, government ministers etc to go on record particularly for “political” matters – much less to agree to a full interview.
While we will continue to renew our efforts, an absence of one on one interviews is not merely for lack of trying.

I understand what you saying. However, keep in mind when you are dealing with corrupt goverment and the system is set up for them to always have the head start over yes frustration will come. Not saying the way he behave is acceptable, however, there were partiality shown in the house it’s pretty obvious. Also if singing was not allowed in the house and it was noted by Isaac it was not allowed and the minister still went forward singing and he was allowed though it’s not allowed there is partiality cause if the opposition set had try and sing a song then they would have been stop immediately. The whole world could easily see that there was some form of partially and biasness happening there. Even we in the north Americas saw that very easily. It is seen that the changing of the rule was only to suit and fit one side and not the full audience.

A government should be people oriented. The living standards of the people should matter more that anything else. Their slogan/mantra should be PEOPLE MATTER MOST.

The ministers of this grabberment grab all the wealth and resources of Dominica for themselves and their lackeys. They eat steak, lobster, jumbo shrimps and drink the costliest of rare wines while they give a cheap ham and a near expired turkey to their fanatic supporters. These minions wash down the overly salty, greasy ham and the blubbery turkey with a cup of red Kool-Aid and are satisfied. WOW!

I agree with you to some extent. The pm stated that Dominica is doing good. Yes to some extend we can see hotel being built and roads and bridges being built. However, where are the long term jobs? Thats what I have not heard the pm spoke of only short term jobs alone comes off his mouth. This whole thing looks like its a method or psychology trick to keep the people to come to him but not to help the people on a long term. Even the houses he put the people in are not own my the people.. though it looks like they own the houses, but it’s the true. Dominic need export and skerrit needs to let that happen doesn’t mean it can’t happen it just means he is delaying it. Cause Dominic is one of the most potential country in the entire Caribbean and we just playing with the country. And sooner or later it’s time for all these young girls to start call out all these ministers that are sleeping with them because they come ask the minister for help.
