McPherson Attidore of Stock Farm who was on December 24, 2012 arrested by the police for being armed with an “offensive weapon”- a hatchet, pleaded guilty and was slapped with a fine of $1,200.00 to be paid by April 1 2013, in default six months in jail.
According to court reports, police on patrol in the city on December 24, noticed a fracas on King George street and saw two men breaking bottles and also spotted Attidore chasing the men with the hatchet in his hand.
He was chased by the police and after he was apprehended his explanation was “Mr. attacked me, I was just going to make him afraid.”
In court, he said he was sorry about what had happened and asked for mercy. Chief Magistrate Evelina Baptiste told him that he should have stopped the problem and the mere fact he had the hatchet in his hand meant he had a motive.
In another matter, Vivian Phillip of Sams Gutter Marigot who was arrested on two charges of wounding and throwing missiles pleaded not guilty to the charges and remains on bail of EC$5,000.00.
The matter is set to be heard in Marigot on February 27, 2013.

Good day. Was the person throwing prayer books (missals)? If they were then those would have been a very blessed missiles.
But in all seriousness, I believe that you meant “MISSILES” instead of “MISSALS”.
He/she did say missiles. Where did you see missals?
