Man stabbed to death in Castle Bruce

Information reaching Dominica News Online indicates a man was stabbed to death in Castle Bruce early this morning.

Information is extremely sketchy at this time but it is reported that the incident occurred around 1:00 am.

The man, who is known as ‘Lazo,’ was allegedly stabbed by two other men.

DNO is trying to get more information on this matter and will bring it as soon as it is available.

The devil always finds things for idle people to do. Those young boys are provocative- they look for trouble and always figthing and doing nonsense around the village. It was just a matter of time but the victim is a hard working young man who is making his contribution to society. The police know they sit under the almond tree all day smoking and they do nothing. This is one sick village – parents eat sour grapes and children teeth set on edge (Eze 18:1,2). Not me, its the BIBLE

Sad to see that I’ve lost my uncle and my cousin in the same day. You all with your stupid and silly comments don’t even know what is going on and for one it is not helping one bit. Instead of saying “my condolences” you all come with political crap. I pray that my family does not feel more of this terrible pain that we are feeling right now and I pray that we will see this through. Amen.

A lot of u r saying don’t blame the government , who r the ones to blame? If all the youths in the country were employed , who would have gotten the praise?no one would have said that it’s because of their education .everyone one would have said good government . So therefore the government is the main countribution to the injustice that’s going on in the land .No LAW CAN STOP HIM!
But that still doesn’t give a man the right to take another man’s life. The government should reinstate the death penalty .as long that there is enough evidence to prove that u willfully committed the crime u should b hanged. To the family may god give u the strength and courage to carry on. Peace!

Wickedness is stalking the land!!!! What will possess another man to use a knife a weapon on another man? Flesh and blood like you!!! My God this is madness. Why are Dominican men killing each other with knives, and other weapons? I am reminded of Psalm 12:8 It says: The wicked walk on every side.,when the vilest men are exalted!!!!!
Are we exalting vile men in Dominica? Then if we are wickedness wil abound in our country. Nothing but wickedness will possess another to use a knife to take another’s life.!! Reflection: Are we exalting vile men in our country? Are we inadvertently courting wickedness in and among our selves? The HOLY BIBLE can NEVER be wrong!

“Exalting vile men in our country?” What do you think the TV films and games are doing to the minds of your kids? Arn’t you exhating the heroes that take a life a minute on the games and films when you buy those CDs or turn on those programmes?

      September 12, 2011

Who tell youth not to plant so that they can reap? All the land is there, that is what Dominica has to offer. Because they wont use the land their parents are selling it to foreigners to make money to keep the little waste of life dem, and they still vex.

Allu always blaming somebody else so dem fellas feel they have a right to do what they doing.

I work at anything I get to feed my family. I know youth can use their energy to develop agriculture but they too fancy for dat. It is better to kill a man for his ride because some smart a55 is going to come and say is not their fault, is de government dat make dem do it; and dont hang dem, it is inhumane to kill dem back. Such rubbish.

That is what have us in this bind. That sentiment is o.k. when man used to at least try to behave himself. But not in dem here days where a man will kill you for nothing before he even take the chance to look at you.

Soon only the criminals and politicians will be left in Dominica. I am sorry to say it, but I am not moving back to Dominica my home that I dearly love. It appears that there is no control, no law, no order. But what do you expect when your church leaders are guilty of adultery, but we still keep professing that we are a christian nation. We need an awakening, are turning back to the values that made our country a peace loving country.
We need to instill some sort of respect for the law and our elders in our young people. But it begins with ours acting in ways to warrant that respect. PUT GOD FIRST AND COUNTRY SECOND. REMEMBER OUR MOTTO.

    • Gabo
      September 12, 2011

Well, I hope it is peaceful where you are because the news doesn’t seem to suggest that there is peace anywhere.
There certainly is the drug menace everywhere.
There are guilty church leaders wherever you turn.
And politicians, well they are famous world-wide.

So I agree with you. Dont come home to the land you profess you love. Stay locked up in your peace place, daring only to shift the curtains every now and again for a quick peek at the outside world..

Too many people are on drugs such as marijuana, cocaine, alcohol, and beers.Too many adults are setting bad examples for the youths.Too many criminal are getting away with murder.Too much blockos and jams and very little church.Too many husbands lying to their wives and the children are saying daddy doesn’t love mammy.Too many homosexuals`want to run this country.

      September 12, 2011

Seems to me the more churches we open the more vile the people become. When I was a young girl and we only basically had the Catholic Church, people used to enjoy themselves without all this violence. Drunk men would fight – sort of – wuth their fists, and then order one for the road and hug each other for balance and sing their way home.

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

The main reason why one would kill in this manner is simply due to the fact that he has no fear of Allah. He or she has no belief in Judgement Day. Many people who get away with murder due to ‘technicalities’ must realize that technicalities do not exist on Judgement Day.

Second, our laws are very unjust. When we fail to apply a life for a life in the event of these high degree murderers then we allow the devil to laugh at us. Why must all the tax payers and the victims pay for the crimes of murderers by sustaining him? Allah told you to execute the murder, man says to jail him because execution is ‘inhumane.’ Inhumane? Really? It’s very inhumane allow this criminal out and kill again isn’t it?

The answer to Dominica is it’s people. They need a spiritual awakening. Secularism, materialism, socialism and all these man made dogmas are the ones that keep us from realizing our full spiritual potentials. It is so sad that polytheism is the order of the day.

To the family of the deceased. Hold strong, it must be a very tough ordeal for you but you will pull through with time.

There are people who operate with all the izms you mentioned but they don’t go around killing people. Some of them won’t even kill animals. There are even people who are atheists who will not strap bombs around them to kill for any reason. The people who commit these acts have lost their humanity just like the bomb-strappers. I agree with you though, that the law is too lenient so is no longer a deterrent.

These idiots attack a hard-working young man making his contribution to society and feeding his children. I think we need to seriously take charge of our children when they are young and lead them in the right direction. There are too many young men in Castle Bruce who lacked direction growing up and now they are behaving ‘arbitrary’ around the village. I think we need to be very firm with our children and maybe when they get old they will not depart from it. I have noticed that when I taught and I tried correcting children I was seen as the one who was troublesome and I have seen those same children get in trouble in one way or another. We need to raise them right and chances are they will do the right things as adults. Its not guaranteed but its worth giving it a try. So many times I see parents in church and their children are at home, so many times I have heard parents say ‘I dont know what to do with that child…” I ask myself -‘Who really is the parent?
We need to take our responsibility seriously.

Poverty is a crime when you bring it on yourself. Dont learn in school. Drop out of school. Dont want to work. Turn you back on the land – your natural asset. Become addicted to drugs. Want what others work to have. Yes it is a crime.

    September 10, 2011

The people who are blaming everybody and not the criminals, are as guilty as they are. Governments come and go, but society remains. Change your ways, stop critising, if you want crime to stop, begin with your self. May God protect us from all danger.

ADMIN, I know you took offence Kasrmie for saying that she find that she finds information always seems to be sketchy these days. In respose to her concern I find you were a little harsh and maybe even unproffessional. I find you could simply say in a nice way that info is just not out as yet. Like Kasrmie, I feel the same way as well. If you do not have information as yet, then the right thing to do is wait until information becomes available and the put it out. When you rush and put it out without the facts. This to me sounds beffie and you have a lot of people commenting, sometimes taking sides, and making wreckless statements on an item that you as the publisher (reporter) don’t even have information on. Furthermore, most time you never come back with further information to clear our doubts. The Vielle case beach Ganga fiasco is one good example and there are many more. I just feel that instead of taking offence with people like Kasrmie you should take it in love and try to see how you can correct it. You see, many of us reading news from DNO don’t leave in Dominica, and when we read this kind of stuff taking place in our village, since we do not know who is involved, we then start to panic and hope it’s not a family member or good friend. So please get some info before you put it out there.

It sad to day,Dominica is experiencing developement or lack there off,T/V and internet have expose Dominica to things that are too toxic for our peaceful minds.peoples wants are much greater than our needs, so they have little tolorance for negociation, and the influences that have grip this country, fast money for less work, envy of others property and a lazy culture of too much sewoing and wholesale consumtion of intoxication, so we act befor we think when it should be the other way around.HOW SAD, but it seems that is the streech of highway we on.We need spiritual intervention not religious teachings.

Are the law makers going to wait untill we which on par with jamaica or T&T to start putting measures in place to address this senseless murders? These are the issues the opposition suppose to be pushing instead of making themselves a pack of fools in and out of court. The murder rate keep climbing and the silence on the issue by both side of the house is deafening.

Two deaths in 2 days, first an alleged drowning, now a stabbing, that’s not good for Castle Bruce, that’s not good for Dominica.

Gone are the days when quarrels were settled with two mother %$# and a Lang B&^%$a M#$#&%W. Now it’s a knife or a gun. Father God please protect us as we walk thru our lives on earth.
