An aspiring businessman of Layou is now closer to making his business idea a reality after he won over $10,000 from one of the nation’s telecommunications companies.
Thirty-five-year-old Wenham Robin of Layou is the winner of the Digicel’s “Once Upon a Digicel Christmas” promotion gaining a total of $10,750 today.
Robin along with four other Digicel customers, each took a chance to win a maximum of $30,000 by grabbing as much cash as they could from the Digicel Cash Vault. Robin topped the other contenders by a great margin.
“I got a plan, a project at hand and this money came just at the right time when I needed it,” he said.
Robin told reporters that he plans to make further investments in his taxi service as he is hoping to use the cash to solicit a loan for that purpose.
Robin also won a carton of Blackberry Arbor Mist from Pirates Ltd.
Among those who won were Jerry Walsh of Pottersville who won $3,700, Kendel Barry of Boetica who won $3,630, while Claudia Victor of Salisbury won $2,600.
The promotion began in November where customers who paid their bills on time, topped up with more than $20, and purchased or upgrade their handsets were made eligible.
The grand draw took place at the Fort Young Hotel this afternoon.

there are many ways to share wealth in this this regard, Mr Robin indicated his need to improve his taxi service to the community he serves, those who participate will experience more options iin how they travel, He indicated his intentions to make investments in the transportation industry, there are many variables in that will benefit as a result, in my vanicular that is sharing wealth. However for those who need a hand out, that is Mr Robin’s prerogative. I wish him well.
