Renowned Carnival costume builder, Michel Raffoul, has died.
In May 2013, Raffoul was rushed to hospital after suffering a massive stroke which rendered him paralyzed and speechless.
He never recovered and according to family members, passed away on Monday.

What a loss for the family and friends but, what a relief for a sick and suffering man. Rip Michel and just follow the light that the almighty shines to guide you. Everything will be ok. Big strength for the family !

I am deeply saddened by the death of Raffoul, RIP brother. However, I am disappointed with the Raffoul family for having such a great Dominican like him spend his last days at the Dominica Infirmary. His brother is a successful business man and it was hurtful for a man like that had to die, knowing the possibility was expected anytime, without his loved ones at his bed side. Papa Raffoul must be revolving in his grave like a top. I say shame on the Raffoul family.

Doc. Love. Very sad that you would say something like that. M grand mother is in the same private home that the guy was in. His family was always there to love him and care for him. The facilities and special care was among the best in Dominica. If we had any better this family would have spent the cash. Not the place for your comment. This is quite distasteful..and does not to good for anyone. God forgives anyway so you should apologise for this indiscretion.
