New NCCU Member Care Center launched

Glenda Smith-Baron

The National Cooperative Credit Union (NCCU) Ltd has officially launched its Member Care Centre, a program aimed at transforming and enhancing member service. The launching ceremony took place at the company’s boardroom on Wednesday.

“Today marked an iconic moment in the history of our credit union, the launch of our Member Care Centre,” Branch Manager Glenda Smith-Baron said. “And it is not just a new service, it is a bold step towards the future where member care is at the forefront of our mission.”

She continued, “We recognize that our members deserve nothing less than excellence and this moment signifies our dedication to making that a reality. It is a moment characterized by commitment, innovation, and responsiveness to members’ needs.”

According to Smith-Baron, Member Care Centre is designed to offer comprehensive support, “ensuring that your inquiries are addressed promptly and efficiently.”

“The Member Care Centre is meant to be your first point of contact catering to all your needs,” she stated. “Our team is trained to answer your questions, improve interpersonal contact, and reduce the time you spend on an inquiry because we know that you are busy with your lives.”

The branch manager cited the goal as making the customer’s experience seamless and enjoyable.

Additionally, she said, through its Member Care Centre, customers’ feedback will be invaluable.

“Every voice is heard and the information will be used to inform every process, ensuring continuous improvement in our services,” she noted.

She said customers can expect the highest level of service from NCCU’s dedicated team, adding that the cornerstone of the organization’s mission is exceptional member care.

“We have stood tall over the years on this principle of mutual assistance, community support, and personal attention,” Smith-Baron stated. “Today we take a bold step forward in embodying those principles through the establishment of our Member Care Centre.”

She mentioned further that member care is more than a strategic pillar, “it is the very essence of who we are.”

“It means placing our members at the heart of everything we do,” Smith-Baron noted.

She added, “Our commitment to member care is reflected in every interaction, every service, and every decision we make.”

Moreover, Smith-Baron pointed out that one of the fundamental principles of the credit union is member economic participation.

“The principle emphasizes that members are the primary stakeholders and beneficiaries of the institution,” she explained. “This principle drives our action every day and causes us to make decisions that benefit our members. We want to convert every interaction to a pleasantly memorable experience. We want you to feel at home.”

She explained that for the credit union, member care translates into a relentless pursuit of excellence.

“Whether you are opening your first account or planning for the future, our goal is to provide you with an exceptional experience that is truly phenomenal,” she indicated. “For you, our members, enhanced member care means having a trusted partner by your side, it means personalized support, and guidance tailored to your unique name”

Meanwhile, the NCCU has also introduced a position of member success advocate.

“The role is integral to the member care initiatives, focusing on your success and satisfaction,” Smith-Baron explained.
