OCTOBER 9th- Daily Updates from Dominica

Speaking at the press briefing from the Office of the Prime Minister in Roseau this morning, Education officials updated the public of the ongoing efforts to restore the schools on the island to some level of functionality as well as the plan to reopen schools in the quickest time period possible.

This process will be completed in phases, taking into consideration the extent of damage of each school and giving priority to students by grade.

The Challenges to this operation were outlined as follows:

  1. Road safety and accessibility
  2. Transportation availability
  3.  Health and sanitary conditions of buildings (running water, plumbing etc..)
  4.  Setting up the required psycho-social support network
  5.  The imminent registration and preparation for students sitting regional exams

In addition to laying out detailed approaches for addressing each of the above issues, the announcement was also made that all teachers and principals are to report to post tomorrow Tuesday October 10th. On Wednesday October 11th, there will be a principal’s meeting scheduled for 10 am at the Newtown primary School.

Some of you are showing your heartlessness and bitterness. Over what? Do you have a good night’s sleep? You are heaping hot burning coals on your heads. The day will come when you will pay for this.
I prefer to do good; no hatred in my heart, not even for you who hate. This was the manner I was nurtured by my parents. Thank God for them. It makes me happy and peaceful to do so. Try it you will like it.

If you were like me you would not make such a comment. I do not follow evil people and their evil comments. It just is not part of my nature. I know me more than anyone of you, especially critics, could ever know me.
There is too much evil spewed on this website by disgruntled, unhappy people as you; bad enough at a time as this after Hurricane Maria. You are the false prophet and bearer of bad news. You have nothing good to say. Criticism when it is not necessary is the work of the devil which his followers practice.
If I owned this website, your evil comment would be prohibited.

  2. I want to know
    October 10, 2017

I wish the pm would answer or address the following questions during his press briefing:

    1. Is it true that the former prime Minister of St. Kitts Mr. Denzil Douglas has a Diplomatic passport of Dominica?
    2. Is it true that according to the passport page of the said Diplomatic passport, Mr. Douglas is a citizen of Dominica?
    3. If so, why does Mr. Douglas hold our diplomatic passport?
    4. As the former PM of St. Kitts and now opposition leader, why would he not have a Diplomatic passport of St. Kitts!
    5. Was his St Kitts diplomatic passport ever cancelled? If so why?
    6. At a time when Dominica needs so much help if it is true that Mr. Douglass holds a Dominica diplomatic passport as opposition leader of St Kitts, don’t you think that might raise more questions about who else might hold our passport? Just asking because I want to know the truth

This person as some others is narrow-minded and wicked. The comment is out of order and is irrelevant to the article. It is another one I would prohibit.
They do not seem to care that Dominica recently experienced a bad hurricane and their fellow Dominicans are suffering.

God put Dominica on its knees, instead of praying you all are fighting. Focus on what’s more important and progress will come sooner. Focus on Dominica.

This process will be completed in phases, taking into consideration the extent of damage of each school and giving priority to students by grade.

The Challenges to this operation were outlined as follows: In Priority:
    1. Get rid of Skerrit and his corrupt Labour government regime.
    2. Get rid of the incompetent ministers, just occupying a seat
    3. Get rid of Hartley henry and all the opportunists sucking our Dominica money
    4.Road safety and accessibility
    5. Transportation availability
    6. Health and sanitary conditions of buildings (running water, plumbing etc..)
    5. Setting up the required psycho-social support network
    6. Get rid of those in the way of our dedicated, educated, committed hard professional civil servants, those boom boom flies of the Skerro regime
Once this is achieved then we are good to move on with good and quality role models and leaders.
    Dominica comes first

I do think you need to see a psychiatrist. You do not appear to have a good heart. After such a hurricane Dominicans experienced you cannot find anything good to say.
The PM has a load, a burden on his shoulders. He has his responsibilities. The last thing he wants to know from you is negativity and to demean him.
How many D/cans are interested in reading your unenlightened comment? I am not!
You continue to keep hatred in your heart toward someone who did you no harm except that you do not support the PM and his Party. It is your prerogative to do so but to carry-on as this on DNO? You are sick of mind.
Stop using DNO’s website to write your stupidity. Furthermore, it has absolutely nothing to do with the article. What a shame. It should have been prohibited. One day, sooner or later, you will pay a dear price for your words. Mark my words.

  5. Judge Maria
    October 9, 2017

Maria’s judgement on us was very hash, if not too harsh. I remember hearing the PM tell the world that even he was homeless as PM and had to sleep on the floor. At that time no one really was able to see which buildings survived. Now we are in a better position to move around I guess the PM should re access the situation to see which buildings that still standing so could update the nation as to where some people could move to. I am very interested in hearing about the following buildings:

    1. A 14 bedroom / 8 bathroom mansion in Vielle-case
    2. About Blaircourt villas with, about 20 buildings 3 bed / 2 baths in the Savan pie area.
    3. The Kimpuski hotel right before Tatan
    4. The Morrocan hotel right there in Lagon,
5.. The Avisville villas across from Ross
    6. The new hotel being built close to coconut beach.

Maybe the PM might know how to contact those owners or those that have shares in these properties, to see if they could be made available to the poor homeless folks the…

you are quite right. The PM lied to the world on TV in Antigua. He said the roof of his house was gone and that is a lie.He said he too was homeless and that is a lie too. He even cried. And i wanted to cry too though I know my roof was gone too .Then further inquirers revealed that the PM was lying on TV and to the world.WHY SIR WHY?. He said the roof of the building where he was the night of the storm was blown off and how they went down stairs where all the windows were blown off so they broke the doors and were under a mattress. That too I discovered was a lie.My question is how many lies has the PM told Dominicans and the world? Enlighten please someone I do not trust this PM and to make it worse he is trying to do everything without the help of the opposition/WHY?

Nothing is new concerning the PM. The only thing that would be new is if the people finally woke up and replaced him with someone with integrity.

What do you expect from a pathological liar?

He lied again where I quoted him on DNO where he made the claim that everything is one (100%) insured in Dominica, and money pay out from both local and international insurance companies will soon be sharing!

That guy is a sick individual who like to solicit sympathy, and empathy for himself, and if he need to lie to gain pity he does it believing no one will know he is a liar!

Dominica is a place where people can scarcely buy food to eat; how many remember to insure their house? Insuring property in Dominica, is for many are called but few are able to answer the call; few people have the resources live on never mind insuring their house.

The same old boring story from people as you, as an old broken record. Nothing new; nothing concrete; nothing good to suggest; nothing educational others could learn from. Be thankful that you are not in Dominica and did not experience Hurricane Maria. Your day is coming one way or the other.

You can try to hide the truth as much as you would like, but we all know that Skerrit is a hopeless Prime Minister and his government and those who support him are corrupt and don’t care about the poor Dominicans. All his cronies and blind supporters care about is that “I love my PM”. PM my ASSet…….worse Dominica has seen.
This PM has failed as his silly supporters support and promote the poverty w live in. One day he will go before God and the Courts to answer questions., about the Bin Bobol, Fertilizer Bool and questions about our Passports sold and the CBI money and all those fakes people from afar/
Continue being in denial, the same was said of the Labour Party then of Patrick John and he and it fell., and hard too.

I’m in Dominica, lost everything I had yet I share the same sentiments as “Give it to them….. so what’s your point “Let the truth be known”. Whether you favor the man or not, a liar is what he is and will remain. Let not you be the Judge but the almighty father will have his way – be it good or bad!!!!

“Nothing new; nothing concrete; nothing good to suggest; nothing educational others could learn from.”

You that ole Dominica sukuyant hiding in Canada living off the Canadian government system of charity and welfare; maybe if you had something educational to contribute on DNO that I could learn something from:

I would not be busy exposing you that ole Dominica Sukuyant hypocritical bias, and lie comments! When I contribute anything educational on DNO people like you are so dumb, and dunce, not understanding what I conveyed, all you do is give me thumbs down!

        Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!

When I get into medical science, or anything scientific ; all I get is thumbs down, so what’s the point of me contributing anything educational? I’ve never got a response to anything scientific I wrote on DNO, or a simple question such as; “what do I mean” by such and such!

Could it be because I am dealing with a lesser intelligence!

You forgot the Stat House, also intended for his future use and where our current President is only the caretaker. Plenty of room there for just one man and his wife.

      • October 10, 2017

Did this outlaw president take in any of the homeless folks in Dominica?
