Opportunities available to Dominicans to study in Mexico.

study-abroadThe Embassy of Mexico to the Eastern Caribbean States is glad to reiterate the invitation to the citizens of Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, St Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and St Vincent and the Grenadines to study in Mexico. There are two different tracks offering undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate degrees.

The first track is led by the Government of Mexico and offers Merit Awards for International Students, comprising full scholarships, including living expenses, for specialization, master’s and doctoral degrees, as well as graduate or postdoctoral research programs. There are around 90 Universities collaborating in this track, including the best universities in the country and some of the top Universities in Latin America. The quantity and quality of Universities involved mean that there are programs in practically every field of study and in every region in the country. For more information, please consult the following link http://bit.ly/2bGWZ5I.

The second track corresponds to undergraduate degrees offered by a cluster of 30 of the top public universities in Mexico. The Universities, in collaboration with the Mexican authorities, will provide high level education at a highly subsidized rate to students from the Eastern Caribbean in a wide array of subjects of interest. This track also offers a semester of total immersion into Mexican culture and the Spanish language prior to full enrolment in order to facilitate the student’s education.

Please contact the Embassy of Mexico at [email protected] for more information and feel free to enquire on specific degrees and/or universities.

Lmao some of you sound like Trump the way you talking about Mexico. How many of you have actually been there or know anything about the country? Lol and @Tell the facts aren’t you the same one always defending the government on Venezuela? Caracas is rated right now as THE MOST dangerous city in the world.

    Sorry

I am not alone in the way I think about this. Read the other comments.

I have no axe to grind nor do they. We just care about the kids. My own granddaughter is going to university in another Canadian city this fall and I am already worried.

    Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Evangelist.

Why would an English speaking Dominican young person go to Mexico (a) so far from home, to (b) get educated in the Spanish language, (c) in a dangerous country overrun by crime :?:

I am no stranger to Mexico. My wife and I spent approximately ten weeks there in the mid 1960’s with a four month old baby doing missionary evangelism. God took care of us, but I can tell you it was dangerous then, and it is worse now. I would not go now unless I knew God was sending me. I knew then.

Honestly I shudder when I hear of Canadians going to Mexico. We know of some who did not come back, and others who came home quite traumatized.

It is not like Dominica does not have solid institutes of higher learning.

    Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Evangelist.

Because not everyone is as well off as you and sometimes people have to take brave steps to be successful in life. Not everyone can live off the gullibility of other :^)

You visited a few weeks half a century ago? Wow, then you must be a real expert.

Statistically, Mexico isn’t the safest country in the world. But going by intentional homicides per capita in the most recent reported year, it’s safer than Guyana, Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, St. Lucia, Trinidad, St. Kitts, Jamaica, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and, sadly, Dominica.

Encouraging young Dominicans not to take advantage of educational opportunities like this is doing them no favour, and I hope no one listens to you.

  5. Another waste of time; a degree from any institution in Mexico has no value internationally, the same as one out of Cuba, China, and some other places.

Soon a certain man will be sending his supporters to the none-accredited university in India, from where he bought his honorary bit of useless paper talking about him is doctor eh!

I know him name but I doh calling it oui!

All I will say is I talking about that old Mountain Chicken Carpaud (crapo) Mentality Sir Knight Sly eye Indian doctor of nothing; they dress him up in a Mongoose costume and handed him a piece of wsorthless paper, for which he paid almost a hundred thousand dollars. And I believe it was in U. S currency eh!

I doh talking about Skerrit eh; but if de man is a crapo, is him I talking about oui!

    Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!

Only you and your ignorance can understand what you just said. Only your first sentence is legible. Its the same Cuban doctors that are in Dominica providing service to the people. Stop being ungrateful.

      • If you were not ignorant you would be able to recognized sarcasms when you read it. As for those Cuban, and Cuban trained so called doctors, they are the cause of so much medical malpractice, which causes people to die in the country from sickness which could be easily treated.

Go to Mexico get a degree and on your way home stop in any city in the United States, and just for the hell of it, try to get a job in anything your degree represents, and see if anybody in America, or North America: And for your information which comprised only America, and Canada will give you a job with your degree from Mexico!

I believe the contents here is legible enough that even you a dummy can read and understand.

“Another waste of time; a degree from any institution in Mexico has no value internationally, the same as one out of Cuba, China, and some other places.”

False. Like in most large countries, there are plenty of good and not so good universities there, including the National Autonomous University of Mexico which is an excellent school that compares well with just about anyone.

I must say you are wrong on this one. I along with a friend did tourism in Mexico. My friend is now a department manager on on one of carnivals cruise lines and I’m a hotel department manager in Orlando. The us does recognize those degrees. Stop spreading propaganda.

For a man that always claim to have so many degrees and high education you sure are really good at making yourself look like an ***. You are either a troll or actually retarded/insane. Either way your stupidity is entertaining at times so keep it up :^)

So tell me why I was able to get to do my masters in the university of Manchester in the UK after graduating from a Mexican School or why there are countless others who have completed Phds and are working in institutions such as IBM, Intel, Google, Amazon to just name a few. You have just revealed your card to me and have shown me how truly stupid you are. You should stop posting now.

this is a very rewarding gesture,,,but o god mexico is a problematic country with their drug lords problem and the kidnapping of students, I personally would give some thought before going to mexico, that’s just my thought, but it’s all good for all who feel the engagement suits them, best of luck

I do not want to discourage you. However, think twice prior to going to Mexico. I recognize that no where is safe but Mexico has had some spate of murders whereby visitors have been murdered. Let’s face it. As everywhere else, obviously, it does not appear it will become better.
Prior to accepting this opportunity, ask questions and find out exactly where you will be residing and attending school.
The way the world is today and what is occurring, I have decided that there are some countries I will never visit. It is bad enough where I reside.
We are not politicians. We do not travel with our security entourage and have government protection while there.

    • That is the first truth you ever told on DNO!

In any event Skerrit has signed diplomatic relations with somebody in Tijuana Mexico, a boarder town approximately 150 miles from Los Angeles, and is a boarder town to San Diego. The the two main industry there are cocaine smuggled in from Columbia and other South American Nations accompanied by murder!

The police in Mexico are the most corrupt in the universe; a few years ago the Federal Government of Mexico disband the entire police force in every part of Tijuana.

I have two brothers from Tijuana working with me, nobody could pay them enough money to go home for a visit, traveling time from LA to TJ is less an hour and a half! Any Dominican who would go to Mexico to study is a fool; but again, Dominicans will go simply to say they went to Mexico to study!

    • “We are not politicians. We do not travel with our security entourage and have government protection while there.”

I read your “ting” over and must admit I decided to give you a thumbs up. Nevertheless, if someone in any country including Dominica wish to hurt a politician, be it that Mountain Chicken Skerrit, or any other, no entourage, or any security guard can prevent, or stop a determine person who wish to harm the politician from so doing.

If somebody wish to kill me today, with all the security system I have around my property, they will still find a way to take me out even if it is in Church!.
